I am very curious on what the fallout for this movie is going to be.
The only thing that I dislike about this film is the continuing trend of comparatively mediocre rehashes of previously huge films, rather than investing in new original ideas.

People love to pin all the blame on the studios, and yes they're a major part of the problem, but so is the average viewer/consumer. This wave of nostalgia-driven consumerism has more or less enabled studios to be lazy and just re-churn shit they've already done, because people happily buy up merchandise for shit they already know.

Really? People on twitter insulted James Rolfe's fucking WIFE? How low can you fucking be to do that when you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about
I wouldn't mind a GhostBusters reboot if they actually took the time to do it properly, just take a note from Disney and get some competent people that know the franchise and have some talent to work on it.
fucking funny how they think they can target a male audience and at the same time attack their male audience

This ones only gotten attention because its A) Ghostbusters and B) Misogynism accusations being pushed to bring more attention to the movie.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/2Lyi5Pa.jpg[/t]
Is that Inspector Gadget?
good thing we won't get that back to the future reboot until bob gale and robert zemeckis are dead.
From all of the advertising I've seen, it'll probably make back it's budget and then some.
it's hard to say it can go either way I see it doing well first weekend and flopping after that,.

Social media is going to do all our advertising FOR us!" There had to be SOME higher-up who banked on pitting people against each other to drum up tons of free publicity for the movie.
I never intended to see this once that first trailer came out. It just looked really bad, and the fact that they're playing so low in order to drum up what is basically sympathy watches for the movie by pulling the misogyny and sexism card has only convinced me further that this isn't actually going to be very good at all. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't hoping this would bomb.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/2Lyi5Pa.jpg[/t]
I see the picture of these 4 Ghostbusters and I think. MAN! That looks awesome. Diverse characters with expressive and uniqe personalities. Then I look at the new Ghostbusters movie and I think... annoying stereotypes. I never cared about their gender, but the characters are just super flat, lack charme and are just super annoying. Imagine Left4Dead but instead of having Bill, Francis, Louis and Zoey you replace them with an all male cast, consisting of Aiden Pearce from Watch_Dogs, "Not Important" from Hatred, Ramirez from Modern Warfare and Cole Train from Gears of War. In the end, I am glad that it's a "remake", since it wont be connected to the Ghostbusters movie timeline.

And they would've been able to do that regardless of whether or not said material actually existed. That's the thing about social media: it will never, ever be able to establish an alibi without excessive amounts of surveillance, so it can be blamed for virtually anything and it will always be guilty.
Honeslty I feel like its one of those shitty "chick flicks" with a ghostbusters spin/gimmick tbh
I can't even imagine someone jumping to those conclusions about James. Like, he's the nicest guy ever why would you even paint him like that without any evidence and than attack his family like that?
