Hey, we have to create a one minute trailer for a film, but it had to be a television trailer as opposed to a cinematic one. What do you guys think? I'll be adding some sound effects, etc. This isn't the finished product just yet.
One of my favourite movies, well done
That was really fucking professionally made. I could have mistaken that for a real trailer. Nice job.
Looks really good, but not enough shaking.
-snip- i'm a dumbass I thought you actually recorded the footage

Thanks guys, you put a huge smile on my face v:v:v [editline]5th April 2012[/editline]
What is the difference between the two, if you want to educate me
A television trailer is roughly 30 seconds to a minute, it's cut down because of other adverts and sometimes bad language, violence (depends how violent), sexual scenes are cut. This is dependent on the channel too. A cinematic trailer is going to be longer. Usually they are 2-3 minutes and of course, like above, the use of language, violence, etc is dependent on the age rating of the film people are going to see at the cinema. In addition, this is the same with age restriction on Youtube too. Basically, television trailers are MUCH more brief. They'll most likely be for the casual viewer who will look and say "ooo that has awesome fight scenes, gun fights, etc" as opposed to a cinematic trailer which will go much much into the detail of the story, which can define a trailer being good or bad (by not giving too much away).
