Definitely sounds like he's on his A game with this album, sounds big headed but what else can you expect from slim? :v:
I wouldn't call it his best, but I'll reserve judgement for when the full thing is out.
Eminem is my go-to rapper if i want to laugh my ass off
He goes pretty fucking fast on this. The flow/beat is weird as hell but eh.
My hype for MMLP2 dropped a ton after Survival was shown on the tracklist. It's Recovery 2 to me.
What happened Slim, you used to be so goddamn good.
This confused me for a second

Not a fan of the production, but god is he a great rapper.

Relistening to it again, holy fuck, he's still great.
Rhyme scheme is as ridiculous as ever. Growing on me fast. Survival made me sad, Berzerk was eh, and this is fantastic.
Am I the only one who thinks everything Eminem has made recently was shit? The Eminem show was his best.
I enjoyed it. Certainly not his best by a long shot though. Maybe he's trying out different styles
Eminem on a trap-like beat? There is a god.
Kanye is the only rap god.

what about lil b man
don't diss the real basedgod
He seems to have lost the attitude in his voice somehow. Makes it sort of boring.
Recovery was really good. Relapse was not.
Recovery was awful. Relapse was alright, his best stuff was his pre-Encore era.
i like how he's pretty much going "hey you want me to flow in a certain way? i'll just do them all!"
every half minute he switches the way he flows.
Wow the part 4:25 4:40 RIP to all those rappers that devote them selves to rapping fast. Eminem doesn't even have to try.

Not his best lyrics at all... his flow is faster, but the lyrics just aren't the same..... much better than his other song that Berzerk song though

Wow I made my first comment before hearing that part... Em chops it up in this song, hopefully the rest of the CD is like this instead of Berzerk
maybe it's because he's fucking 40 years old
p hard to stay edgy at 40
don't say snoop dogg either he's an exception
Some parts are the song are pretty great lyrically. The part where he drops the line that was censored back on MMLP1 was really unexpected. I also love the part where he pretty much says that most of his fans are stuck back in his glory days, yet he still continues to try new shit because it's really true. Lyrically, a lot of the shit he said really felt like his old self. He dissed a bunch of rappers, made a few jokes, and said fuck you to everyone he felt like saying fuck you too. It's MMLP2, not MMLP1.5.
That beat is still really fucking weird though. It's not bad, but I never thought I would hear something like that on an Em album. I dunno, I'm still pretty excited for the album. Recovery was still decent in my opinion.

congratulations, you missed the point of his lyrics entirely. he was making fun of people like you who won't let him try new shit and just wants him to live his glory days.

he can try all the new shit he wants, doesn't mean it's going to be good
Hes really lost his touch.

Exactly, this is what I think, and was trying to say when I posted this. Although his old stuff was great, the fact he is trying new stuff and actually doing it better than a lot of rappers can (even if it's not as great as his old stuff), he is still giving it an attempt and trying out in new territory. I'm not saying this is breaking any boundary's in the genre; but it's definitely good and shows he isn't sticking to the same stuff he has been doing.
