I know that love for Death Battle is divided here, but you need to see this shit. Were the creators high while picking these highly unlikely combatants?

They are both women and they both use an hammer, that is all the reasoning for the two to fight.

Sure, BS results aside there is zero reason why these two should fight, and I am not talking as in the battle is context less but simply how often do you hear someone ask "Oh boy, who would win in a fight? Amy Rose vs Ramona Flowers!"?
I am not mad, so much as I am disappointed; I have always liked Death Battle, sure I may not personally like all the results but they are at least backed up by numbers and stats, its not like Batinthesun where they do some stupid audience poll, they sit down and look at the facts of the matter.
Or as best one can given that some characters and their abilities are way too open to interpretation to be conclusive.
Still, despite that the match-ups made sense; Robocop Vs Terminator, He-man Vs Lion-O, Mario Vs Sonic.
They make sense, kind of stuff kids and fanboys always argue about!
Amy Rose vs Ramona Flowers? Darth Vader VS Doctor Doom? Bowser VS Ganondorf?

These are the best we can come up with with these characters?
Wasn't there a big blog post by Screwattack before the 'second series' started about how great a Dracula (from Castlevania) vs Ganondorf fight would be, how it was one of the most requested matches they get? Now that would have been an interesting match, but no, we get a fight with two figures one of which only as one weakness the likes of which could not be used by the other as that dose not exist in their world!
Hell, speaking of match-ups, how many bloody times have we sat during the info sections of fighters and be read off a list of items and abilities that never factor into the main match? Look at the Scout Vs Tracer one, the list off a fist full of items that Scout has, his one great advantage and are they used? NOPE!
I understand that the fights them self are incidental in the grand scheme of things but still, what the hell is the point covering them if they are not used? Sure, maybe the end result would be the same but what is the point bringing them up? To stop people saying "What about item X?!"? But then if they are not used people are still going to ask why they weren't used!
It is astounding watching how arse backwards this show can be at times.
Christ, who is Hulk going to fight in the next match? Logic says Broly but knowing these knuckle heads it may as well me E. Honda or Barney the Dinosaur!
I'm betting these two were chosen because they're both named after flowers, so clearly the next battle is going to between Peach and Appule (from Dragon Ball Z) because they're both named after fruit. [sp]Peach wins.[/sp]
Edit - Even better, Princess Peach versus Barack Obama, because he's the "President of the United States of America" and there's a band named that which has a song called "Peaches". So clearly, that is the most logical "Death Battle" to yet be made.

I picked a side, it was utter disdain.
These "Death Battle" vids are pretty clickbait-y to begin with so I'm really not surprised with the lack of quality control, let alone if the majority of people here even care (including me).
Yeah though, this really is grasping at straws for a comparison: both are Genki Girls that are lovestruck, their last names are related to flora, and finally have hammers as their signature weapons (also happening to use Hammerspace on occasion); other than that, the two really aren't 1:1 at all and you can tell that instantly if you bothered to follow their separate source materials and analyzed their characterizations in detail from there.
