Seriously, thinking that it's cool that you kill someone in cod is just so damn low. Every time I play cod on my friends ps3 I only use knife and do better than everyone else. It's just too damn easy to be proud of, even playing against bots is more challenging. And why should I use guns if I already get the most powerful weapon in the game in the beginning? The knife is overall better. Maybe it's just me.

The great thing is that the competitive level tournaments have adjusted the game rules as much as they can to remove half the fun shit from the game. In CoD4 alone, half the ARs are unusable, the ones that are left all go untouched (except the AK-47 w/RDS). The SMGs? AKs-74u is the only one you ever see. Pistols? Deagle or go home. Sniper rifles? Who fucking cares the scope sway is gone and they only left the bolt action ones in.
Should you deviate from the standard loadouts of ak/deagle in semi-serious comp matches, scrims, whatever. You will be insulted to no fucking end. It's the most boring fucking thing ever to watch. They all take basically the same routes, using the same weapons performing roughly the same actions because that's the "winning" tactic.
If you can't play the game in its entirety, you can't play the game.
The one minute mark is where I'd expect everyone on stage to fist fight each other.

i legit don't get competitive call of duty. legitimately I don't get it, specially since the only difficulty is that they're shooting using a controller. they all use roughly the same loadouts, there's no real game plan nor strategy considering you spawn at random places, and tbh the only difference between a regular player and a pro player is that they know the maps and can place themselves in such ways that they can avoid getting ambushed most of the time. the accuracy is just some practice, nothing too difficult though since the game has autocorrect anyway.
i think that's the reason why people can get to be so unsportsmanlike on it, it's so hard to variate from it that the drama is what keeps it entertaining. in any other competitive game ragers get chewed out so badly.
