is there any gmod RP that isn't actually just a team deathmatch in disguise?
Just get admin friends so you can do stupid shit with inpunity, only way to play GMOD. That or falling into place in the super serious RP servers where everyone actually has interesting things to do instead of getting bored and killing everyone.
I've been on a bunch of Gmod RP and there are two ways to play:
Be bored for a shit ton of time because you're not given extra special admin powers or are part of the cool kids club
Be a friend of the head admin by sucking dick or paying a shit ton of cash.
This goes for literally any RP I've been in. If you are a rando trying to RP then good luck, you're going to be able to do absolutely nothing and change absolutely nothing. Talking to each other is RP enough, go do that, despite the fact that the game essentially makes it a chatroom at that point.
Oh you're running a bar in City17 RP? Well I know that one admin says it's not against the rules or laws but I'm going to raid it anyway. Now you get to spend time in Jail with no other prisoners. Have fun. Then we're going to shoot you after all this is done, and if you disconnect it's a ban. What do you mean it's not fun? You're a civie you're not supposed to have fun. You're running a trading caravan in Fallout RP? That's cool, you'll get no support from the military or the law. Now, watch out for those mexicans who go around in a huge racist ass gang and literally rob everyone at every opportunity and are equipped with the best gear in the game because of admin pandering. What, you worked hard for that gun, armor, and inventory? That's cool, they worked hard to steal it off you. If you wanted to be protected you should have formed a militia to kick them out despite the fact that they shake down literally every person who enters the main hub area. Wow, being a prisoner at a facilty like that must have meant that I'm a special asshole murderer or whatever to have landed myself there, pretty sure it wouldn't be strange to wish death upon my cellmates.
I run a server, it can be fun but the only people still involved at this point are edgefucks who can't handle consequence/goofy shit and minges who can't handle no one wanting to be around them.
