I really don't know what to think of this. I used to be into Happy Hardcore in high school but since I graduated, I've been getting into other things. Now I come across this music video for S3RL's newest song and I've got mixed feelings. Part of me thinks that it's cool to see Happy Hardcore still being relevant in the days of EDM summer anthems and faux-80s-syhtns, but the other part of me thinks it's weird seeing happy hardcore have this much effort put into it's video. Like goddamn, this is some high quality shit. Not like other happy hardcore music videos where it's so bad it's good. I dunno, I'll let you be the judge on whether you like it or not.

At least it's catchy
it's pretty annoying

That's always been happy hardcore's gimmick.
That's always been happy hardcore's gimmick.
they should get a new one then.
Wow. That was very bad.
Happy hardcore is dead
Happy Hardcore can be good, but s3rl is fucking cringy.
this was the most embarrassing thing i've seen in a while. yeesh.
I've always liked happy hardcore, but s3rl's not great
He can make alright instrumentals, but always fucks them up with cringey pitched up lyrics

I prefer the older stuff like what you hear in the Bonkers mixes, I just thought this video was fancy because it's got an actual video to it that isn't some fan made footage of people dancing at a rave. And even though it's bad, it's catchy enough to be stuck in my head at work the other day and I didn't want to kill myself.
Millions upon millions of years of evolution, all to make our ancestors roll over in their graves upon shitting out this turd of a song.

If I didn't speak english, I'd love this. The music sounds cool, and so do the lyrics. It's a shame really.
When I was in highschool and also during my first year in college, I liked UK Hardcore, Trance, Hardstyle, Happy Hardcore and a lot of other electronic genres, and I also listened to S3RL, but I always preferred his tracks from before 2014. His tracks from 2014 and onward are quite awful, imo, including the track in the OP. I do like the Cherry Pop's melody, though. Everything else about the track, however, is really bad, imo.
Anyway, in 2015, I started listening to Metal music and that mostly killed my interest in electronic dance music. That, and most of the genres I liked were taking a direction that I really didn't like; i.e. most of the producers I liked were mixing elements from mainstream EDM genres in their tracks, and I personally hate the mainstream EDM of this decade (I really hate genres like Big Room, Trap, Brostep, etc)!
I still listen to some Trance, Hardstyle and Hardcore every now and then, but I mostly like tracks from 2010 and before. In my opinion, 2011 was the year when electronic music started going downhill.
Right now, I mostly like Rock, Metal, Classical and New-age music.
I like S3RL's stuff tbh.
Okay, now I get the sentiment why s3rl's older stuff is better.

That is one of the most embarrassing songs I've ever heard.
why does this genre attract all the weebs?
why does this genre attract all the weebs?
Because it's upbeat and bubblegum and so kawaii

This is considered good Happy hardcore? This honestly sounds so similar to the other song. It'a such a boring and annoying sounding genre.

The point he was making is that S3RL exclusively produces tracks with the cringiest lyrics known to mankind.
