Instead of making multiple threads, here's a related video about the recent "shithole countries" comment.

Lastly, here's a between the scenes where Trevor goes off script and just gives his opinion on the matter.

All of them are worth a watch, especially since all together they make up a video less than 10 minutes long.
We can all agree that Trump is a racist bigoted pile of shit who needs to disappear (not die!), yeah?

Trump's influences on ideologies is here to stay, even if Trump were to disappear the outcome will not be a true optimistic occurrence, but a distraction. There won't be flowers and rainbows, when persistent problematic ideals still are becoming more extreme. Under their own momentum influences that are entrenched, dogmatic, extremist, etc will become something else if they are not stopped.

How the fuck do we un-polarize a country
How the fuck do we un-polarize a country
Without some global conflict that unites us all together, you won't be able to do so. We lost any true enemy on the international scale with the Soviets. The 90's were filled with a similar polarization, but most of the more radical elements of that went down the drain when a new enemy, namely Islamic terrorism, came into play with 9/11.
Those kinds of international enemies prevented us from wanting too kill each other, as our domestic issues stacked up over time. Right now, it's a massive fucking wall of over 200 years of bad blood. Something has to break eventually, and it's just a question of how and when. The FBI has been pretty active in recent months with preventing would-be bombers from getting further then their planning process, but its just a matter of time.
Dammit, they're blocked in Canada still.
I'm not sure whether the title of the second video is appropriate.

The time for soft language is over, calling out Trump for what he is (a racist and bigoted out-of-touch old man) is what's necessary at this stage. Senators are dumbfounded by Trumps inappropriate behavior as a standing US President. Presidents are supposed to represent the people of the country they are in charge of, and as it stands, Donald J. Trump does not represent the interests or beliefs of the American people. He won the election on an ancient bullshit system, as opposed to the popular vote, which he lost.
Here's a small list of Trumps beliefs, straight from his mouth:
1. Haitian immigrants all have AIDS
2. Nigerians all live in "Huts"
3. There's blame on both sides, what about the "Alt-Left" as they came charging at the, what you call, Alt-Right. Not all of those people were Neo-Nazis, believe me. (charlottesville white supremacist bullshit)
4. LOOK AT MY AFRICAN AMERICAN OVER HERE!
5. Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States
6. (on Barack Obama) I would like him to show his Birth Certificate
7. (on Mexico) When they send their people, they aren't sending their best. They're bringing drugs, they're bringing crime, their rapists.
8. (speaking to a Native American at an event honoring Native Americans) You were here long before any of us were here, although we have a representative in Congress who they say was here a long time ago, they call her "Pocahontas". (referring to Sen. Elizabeth Warren.)
If our President is supposed to represent the will of the American People, then it's about time the American People were less complacent with a racist and bigoted old man as President. He's undermining the legitimacy of the US Presidency, and Americas position as a global leader.
Didn't think I'd see Daily Show posted here after the show went massively downhill
Just watch The Late Show if you want to see Colbert complain about Trump, it's almost like he never left at this point with his monologues.

It's not about being soft about language. It's like reporting on a millionaire who cusses out a McDonald's staff or something and making a headline that says "Millionaire Attacks Poor People". There's a real story there about an asshole doing an asshole thing, but the headline is stretched to its factual limits in terms of truth in a way that organizations like Breitbart and Gawker do/did.

I suppose if you want my cynical view of where we've found ourselves in American politics, you can either beat them by your rules, or you can beat them by their rules. Sometimes you have to take a few steps back to get a good running start at the problem. I honestly hate that we've gotten this low as a country, in terms of both decency and common sense. Things have gotten far too black and white as well, at least with how we're starting to label the beliefs of the two major political parties. It's about time we introduced a few shades of gray into the mix, because there has to be more things we're deeply bipartisan about than we let each other on to believe. For whatever reason, we draw arbitrary lines in the sand to separate ourselves, rather than finding more things we can all agree on. Ego, pride, and money all play a role in the problem I believe, and Trump happens to suffer from the effects of all 3 at the same time, more so than any recent US President. The point of the matter is, rifts and divisions are being made, and all that does is destroy the country. Either people start putting their foot down on Washington's bullshit, or we become even more complacent with our opinions and become completely divided as a nation.
