Because with things like this, they tend to put all their effort into the special effects and whatever, and almost no effort into the actual writing. Hence why these days you get so many god-awful films and videos where all the money's gone into the explosions and CGI rather than decent writing. People seem to think that good visuals is a substitute for good writing, when it really [I]really[/I] isn't.
Doesn't help that the actors can't act for shit either. That's why I didn't like Escape from City 17 - it felt more like the "actors" (and I use the term "actors" very generously) were just saying whatever the hell came into their heads at the time. Sure, it was pretty to look at, but the writing and acting? Absolutely terrible. A group of fourteen year olds probably could've been able to write better dialogue.
Which is also why I don't see this being very good.
