Posting this here because it's too damn incredible that they managed this The gunslinger guys are really going all out for immersion for this stalker mod
Most suicide in games is laughable, but that looks really tense and horrifying. This is a stalker mod?
holy shit. seems like the main way you could defend against it is just take out the bolt, right? also curious what they're gonna do with some weapons. [editline]14th December 2014[/editline] nvm
is that movement from the actual game or is the mod doing it? i remember it being pretty static
holy shit. seems like the main way you could defend against it is just take out the bolt, right? also curious what they're gonna do with some weapons.
Wolf said that it's set up where if you have another weapon(or binos/bolt) equipped besides pistol or knife, you auto-switch to knife and stab yourself.
Way better than what the original controllers did to kill you. (Nausea? Imaginary G-forces?) This is exciting.
Way better than what the original controllers did to kill you. (Nausea? Imaginary G-forces?) This is exciting.
i always thought they just overloaded your brain until it completely fried
I actually liked his old attack, though it doesn't do enough to you in vanilla and once you realize this it's lessened a bit mods that increase it to be more devastating can actually make it pretty terrifying I like how sometimes it'll catch you off guard if you come across one you are unaware of wandering outside. That being said, this sacrifices "in your face, jump spook" for eerie-ness which i think is fine.
Man, this looks incredible. I just wish modders could make new maps for Stalker SP, since I've explored literally every square inch of the zone.
The view model animations are incredible, but the little looping stampy-dance the Controller does looks goofy. Still mega-hyped for GUNSLINGER.
Jesus christ this mod looks amazing and I have never heard of it, is it released?
Nope. Honestly, the author could add as many more features as long as he likes because it's stuff that the average player wouldn't even think of adding for the purpose of immersion. Inertia, this suicide stuff, various firearm handling and techniques, etc. It's slow, but very professional. Just watching these videos is hype.
When it's released it could be one hell of a base. This mixed with new location mods would probably make it feel like a new STALKER game
If it's just one guy making this, it looks good as hell but it seems like it's gonna take forever to release.
I've seen a huge variety of videos from this guy for the last couple of years. His progress on this mod is fantastic. I'm glad to see that he's still making progress on it.

yeah gunslinger looks like the best stalker mod and WolfKOTTO really is a cool guy... one of my favorite animators, though he can be a bit flashy.
Cry of Fear had this same mechanic, also Call of Cthulu did as well
Cry of Fear had this same mechanic, also Call of Cthulu did as well
but this is in stalker, and it also makes the controllers more scary than "WOODLY WOO HERE I AM TAKE SOME DAMAGE"
but this is in stalker, and it also makes the controllers more scary than "WOODLY WOO HERE I AM TAKE SOME DAMAGE"
idk man thats kinda spooky
Kinda wish I could erase my previous playthroughs of the series and experience these mods like I've never played the games before.
Another reason to hate controllers.
the gunplay looks so satisfying [editline]15th December 2014[/editline]
Kinda wish I could erase my previous playthroughs of the series and experience these mods like I've never played the games before.
I've never played stalker, now is my time
I might do my first stalker playthrough with this mod once its done, I've seen what vanilla stalker looks like and its a bit meh compared to the detail this has.
I might do my first stalker playthrough with this mod once its done, I've seen what vanilla stalker looks like and its a bit meh compared to the detail this has.
Pretty much any stalker fan will say play vanilla first, because then you can appreciate how much mods can improve the experience. Though if you're not looking to do multiple playthroughs. I'd say the Complete mod is something to look at for a first playthrough since it felt vanilla, but with more development time to me. Though that's just my opinion. Edit: I forgot people don't like Complete. I played it a long time ago. I enjoyed how it changed vanilla.

I'm actually fairly certain there's one of those Hitler videos about Complete which sums up most veteran S.T.A.L.K.E.R.s views on the mod.
