A bit verbose with the text, I admit, but my voice is the last thing you wanna hear for narration; trust me. In any case, I figured I'd shoot for the one-in-a-million chance that Nintendo actually sees this and wises up. It pains me to see Wii U do so poorly from lack of marketing.
I like the idea. But it may be too long to get the point across, maybe speed it up a little? Offtopic: Adventures with creepy Medic... eh?
Oh yeah, that. That was back before no one was doing an AwCM part 6, so I wanted to try it but RubberFruit said Xarable was gonna but he never did.
Wroooooooooooooooooooooooooong, it's an upgraded Wii, which is funny because the Wii was an upgraded Gamecube. Compare the hardware: They changed the CPU, changed some memory chips into higher-capacity ones, and added another GPU. They even used the same ARM CPU for their security co-processor.

Here's a solution. Call it the Wii 2 It's not fucking hard. Just start labeling everything the Wii 2. People will buy it once they hear "Oh, have you heard about the Wii 2? I should get one for little jimmy, he loved the wii!"
its not just another incremental upgrade of the same internal hardware
HAH I do have a Wii u and I do love it. Excited for Tropical Freeze in February. But the hardware is incredibly similar to the Wii, with the addition of a 5GHz 802.11n adapter to transmit to/from the gamepad. And the Wii itself was a slightly better Gamecube with a Bluetooth adapter. These are in fact good things, to optimize for backwards compatibility, but smartphones have more hardware changes than Nintendo consoles.

Guess it's more of a PSA, really.
This is really good!
nintendo needs to get their shit together. in regards to Wii u sales. I mean they're doing fine in everything else. But how they've handled the Wii U is just painful.
yeah they should just sell more! fucking idiots!
yeah! fucking they're just hoarding it all! They should literally just give them away! But even then people won't get one because they'll say they already have a Wii and they won't need a Wii U! !!

[editline]21st January 2014[/editline] but the graph is drawn in the same shape with extra prongs! OBVIOUSLY it's the same!
That video was alright, but really long and came across a little too defensive to be actually circulated. I think the most simple way of expressing to others that it is a new console (without just changing the name) is to use that graphic in the middle of the video showing the previous consoles and years. It's easy to read, easy to clean up into something more poster-esque, and it drives the point home that those are the old ones you want this new one now go get it. Also why would you use the music from the Wii to advertise the Wii U I mean holy shit.
