Point shooting looks so cool, i wanna do a purist run but I think I'm gonna do one on normal just to point shoot erryday
Gunning down baddies in this one is a lot more fun than it was in the others, it's easier but honestly it holds up a lot better plus point shooting is really fun. I like finding my assassination targets and using point shooting on them, aim for the head, and get a nice cinematic kill.

That slow mo target painting thing reminds me a lot of Dead Eye from Red Dead Redemption.

Only thing that bugs me about this game is the spotting/disguise system, especially on the harder difficulties. I mean why does this work, and yet wear a disguise and everyone somehow recognizes you within seconds.

Use instinct and try not to disguise as the enemy whom have the most people active, so if the cops are walking around try to take a SWAT uniform and done.
Its not hard if you know how it works

Shooting your way trough was way easier in Blood Money, you could take soooo many hits before dying in that and you always carried around items that could heal you. You can't survive a whole lot in Absolution and the only way to heal yourself is to find a medkit in the environment and there's only usually like 1 or 2 in a mission.
That was cool, but I can't really play Hitman without playing on Purist. Sure it's hard as hell, but also feels so god damn rewarding when succeeding with something.

Because they were worried it would be like Conviction's mark and execute systme. It's not though, it burns instinct very quickly, only uses the ammo in your current magazine, and you have to see the people as youdo the shooting, no marking and knowing where people are through walls.

Played through all hitman games when they launched, on Silent Assassin. Played 4 levels of Absolution, then uninstalled it and bought Thief pack instead..

I would think that being a splinter cell copy would be a good thing, considering that splinter cell is really good. And Absolution doesn't really play like any Splinter Cell game so yeah

It does. Over-the-top action, linear missions and storyline, goddawful AI and Guards that can see through all disguises 5 meters away. Nothing like the older Hitman games.

Absolution has no over-the-top action and only like 10% of missions are linear and the AI isn't really much different than other Hitman games. Speaking of which, Splinter Cell doesn't have any over the top action either or awful AI.

people always say it's a stealth game but it's more of a 'find the best way to kill dudes' game, being a hitman doesn't always entail stealth

Oh? What about the helicopter scene? The wrestling scene? It's almost impossible to play through Purist because of the shitty new disguise system.
