I've always wondered what it feels like to be in a real firefight. Also, good footage.

Takes them three minutes to even check for an exit wound.
And everyone was moving like it didn't even mater.
The hell
Probably wondering exactly what the fuck happened.

That would suck, will be sore to walk for a while. Got pretty lucky though that's as minor as a gunshot wound gets

Despite the title of that video, those are Army guys, not Marines. 34th Red Bull Infantry Division I believe, an Army National Guard unit. I'm not trying to be some sort of armchair general, but why does it seem like no one was returning fire at the enemy until the end of the video?
also the Soldier who got hit pulls his camera out and starts taking pictures, lmao
I was expecting a dumb TF2 video

It bothers me more that no one even seemed to care that he was hit except for the camera man.
I mean three minutes to even bother to check to see if it passed all the way through or if it was still inside him?
Seriously?

They were probably waiting to get the green from command.

why, you fucking idiot
They were probably waiting to get the green from command.
I thought the ROE say that you could fire if fired upon?
All your answers can be answered with this
National Guard. They aren't nearly as well trained as Active Army or Marines, and they had two guys working on him, more than enough. Any more for a single wound and you end up getting in the way

Yes, but it took them forever to actually get to him.
Except for the camera guy. I was expecting them to get to him and check him out instantly, but fucking three minutes to even check for an exit wound?

You play too much TF2 if the first thing you think of when you see/hear "Heavy", is a team fortress 2 character.
I thought the ROE say that you could fire if fired upon?
Nope, only if you got positive ID. You can't just start blasting away anymore.
I also like how every soldier in every video somehow becomes a US MARINE

You don't really have much room to move around in an open road with nothing but an MRAP to be used for cover.
And those aren't marines, they're National Guardsmen of the 34th ID

The fuck? We're not minutemen that decide to pick up an M4 when they call upon us. The NG, Regulars, and Marines go through the same predeployment training at the NTC before even going overseas. All branches are familiarized by what they have to do and how they have to do it. Unit SOP's also vary greatly among units, the reason why they probably did not return fire was because they did not want to waste ammo, could have been in a civilian-heavy area, they could not see the assailant. Some units would just have the men unleash rounds in the general direction. Fuck they could have been waiting to be cleared to engage in the certain area, but it would have taken longer because they could not see who fired the shot or identify who did it.

I'm not the person who said they were US marines.
So.
And again.
Look at their movement. They are all just standing around and moving slow as all fuck.
Only the guy with the helmet cam was actually checking/tending to the guy while calling for a medic.

Well, they're not just going to start sprinting everywhere with full battle-rattle. The soldier is already being tended to, the rest of their squad/platoon is behind cover. There's not really much of a need to start dashing back and forth between trucks recklessly exposing themselves.
Well, they're not just going to start sprinting everywhere with full-battle rattle.
They are behind cover...
They don't need to sprint when they are all clustered in the same spot.

Shit, that SAS guy in the black shirt is fucking fearless. While all those marines are hunkered down, he's standing there popping away
I also like how every soldier in every video somehow becomes a US MARINE
