Ugh, anthro characters are always so fucking retarded and such a stupid thing to do in my opinion
It's a very well done animation though
The only thing that can be fully appreciated is the animation.
Non-Human to human characters will pretty much never ever work, especially with portal. Glados and Wheatly humans looked retarded.
The animation was good, but that was the only thing good about it.....
Sounds like you guys are trying to make an issue out of nothing.
"I hate the way the characters are animated but they're really well animated"
It's almost a null point.
Anthropomorphism didn't really work here, but I wouldn't say it never can.
EDIT:
At least for GLaDOS, anyway; I liked their version of wheatley.
I do like the way they drew Glados though. Although she should look older IMO.

We hate how the characters looked, but the animation style and quality was good.
Please read.

You do know that you have a picture of a humanized Liara as your avatar, correct?

Liara?
From mass effect?
This liara? http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120709221149/masseffect/pt-br/images/5/5a/Liara_t_soni_10_by_johntesh-d2y9zw7.jpg
It might just be me, but that doesn't look anything like his avatar.....
EDIT: And even if it is liara, max it looks like is skin color change and hair style added.
96% humanoid alien to human works.
Spherical robot or strange robot to human doesn't work well in this case.
Well sheesh guys, I actually did like the look of wheatley. It kinda suits him, yknow.
Glados looks like lady gaga though.
Wheatley looking like Steven Merchant was a nice touch, animations were rather nice
The only way this could have been better is if they made the Stephen Merchant character much taller, Glados was Ricky Gervais and Chell was Karl Pilkington, standing looking clueless.

You didn't see the original picture from the Creationism Corner, in the Creative Work That Doesn't Need Its Own Thread thread.
The artist based it off of what he/she would think Liara would look like if she was human, as well as other mass effect characters.
I didn't like it because part of Portal's mood is that there are no other humans.
i find it funny that the actual models in game are better at conveying emotion than were the anthropomorphous versions

My post still applies though. Liara alien to liara human is not very much changed at all. I can't speak for other characters from the ME series though.
Is it just me, or does GLaDOS looks like lady gaga?

Then why reply? If everyone on Facepunch decided to go to every thread they don't care about and post this it would be chaotic.
Wheatly is actually how i imagined him to be human holy shit
as for glados tho
wow what

Well it looks like Stephen Merchant so it's no surprises that the voice fits the character.

The point was that they were supposed to be a reflection of their personalities and not only aesthetics, and Liara is a scientist, archeologist and nerd.

Stupid point. Everyone is complaining about a relatively minor point and I'm saying that it's not a big deal to me personally and asking if anyone else shares my opinion. Is that so bad?
anthro can be really good and the animation was great just... the fact that it was robots to anthro was pretty bad.
Putting wheatley as a human *could* work if you're willing to accept how he talks exactly as a human compared to Glados, but for Glados? Naw, just doesn't work.

But GLaDOS literally was a human at one point.
That was pretty cool. I don't normally like anthro stuff of portal, but the way GLaDOS looked was really neat.
If you've ever seen the ricky gervais show you'll know that stephen merchant is constantly in character, it's like everything he ever says is something wheatley would say.
