When I was in hospital recently I cracked my knuckles and the nurses all flinched at the noise.
You'd think people used to blood and bathing old people wouldn't mind something so small.
I actually like the sound

Don't put Rice Krispies in your spliffs, kids
i can handle knuckle cracking, but every time i see and hear someone cracking their neck or back i'm just convinced they're going to inadvertently snap their neck or become a paraplegic.

that sounds like you have never done it yourself because if you had you would realise how much of an impossibility that is

I remember when I was laying around bored in the office, so I sat there cracking every single joint in my fingers one by one, the noise echoed through the quiet rooms. On the last one, I saw somebody at their desk sit up and start looking around, confused as hell

But it feels so goddamn satisfying!
Also, isn't breaking your neck/spine kind of really fucking hard to do that way? As in physically impossible?

nah, i have popped stuff in my back (hilariously, it was while i was helping someone else crack their back, which I only do because i get to bear hug them and drop them to the ground). but the reason it makes me uncomfortable i think is because i broke my spine when i was a kid so popping necks and spines terrifies me
Whenever I stretch, my sternum cracks.
I have a friend who's been in her fair share of accidents
In fact she earned the nickname Robocop because most of her bones are either replaced with metal, reinforced with metal or have been bolted to something or other at some point.
you wouldn't believe the noises she can make with her body without even trying and when she does it's much worse
Cant imagine how her boyfriend isn't put off by what it must sound like during sex.
Bitch sounds like the zombie nurses from silent hill
i trapped a nerve while trying to crack my neck once, shit fuckin sucked
i still do it all the time
After a surgery on my lower back, I can hear crackling there whenever I flex my buttcheeks together.
I like the sound, honestly. It sounds sort of relieving in a way, even if someone else does it. I've been cracking all the joints in my body since as far back as I can remember and unfortunately, I crack my neck a lot too but that has caught up to me and made my neck develop chronic pain and soreness.
Then again, I don't even know if thats what contributed to the pain.

Hah you stoner :v:
Something in my left foot pops like every other step, but not when wearing shoes. Sometimes it's loud enough that I can't sneak around because of it.

its great when you don't do it for a while so whenever someone turns your head for you or something hits your head to move it in a way that cracks your neck
It's super cool to know that it's dissolved gases in the joint fluid that makes the noise. It's kind of freaky that's you'll have a little bubble there for a couple of minutes but it's relieving that there is no definitive short to mid-term side effect to popping your joints.
I can crack my ankle sooooooo good after I sprained a year ago. I can bend it and feel the pressure building up for like 5 seconds and then get a really satisfying pop.
Cracking my neck is probably the most satisfying one, but nothing compares to cracking both sets of knuckles like you're about to get shit done.
it feels amazingly good to crack knees, and ankles. Even more so both at the same time.
I can crack my jaw, neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, all joints in all fingers, knees, and toes
Pretty much everybody who knows me think I'm a freakshow when I crack my joints :v:
This thread makes my cringe muscles ache from the constant use
so... why does it feel good? Why do my joints, mainly my back and neck, feel a billion times better, after cracking them?
This is great and all, but the real answer is,

Had a teacher who could crack his next because of some skiing accident, and when he showed the class, I swear it was someone snapped 50 carrots at once, and the entire class scream and recoiled backward.

I can crack my neck, but I've never been in a skiing accident.
I always wondered why my fucking bones always cracked whenever I crouch and all manner of crap
