This makes me seriously miss being a part of gaming communities. I used to be apart of the 42nd Black watch on M&B NW, we were pretty renown around the community in europe, often having meetups and the like; we were all pretty close but once the game died, we all ended up parting ways and doing our own things. But I still have friends in Denmark, Germany, America and all over the place purely from that community.

I grew up with people like this pretty much, my dad was a huge gamer in the Day of Defeat community when the mod came out. He was a part of some group called Blighty Boys and became a pretty big member of the group, eventually the clan disbanded and turned into UK Modern Warfare or something, but I still have fond memories of all our family's meeting up every summer for BBQ's like this one, enjoying time together and the like

I still remember my first gaming PC was built by a friend of ours who used to play DoD with my dad.
