Aside from the fuck ugly alfred and the really annoying narration by the developer in this video, the game is lookin pretty good
Alfred looks really weird. The rest is fine. It's weird, I love Asylum and City and this looks like it's doing everything right, but I'm just not hyped for it at all.
Sounds like a case of too much of a good thing, there really isn't anything different from the past games
The sad thing is, it's not even really their fault. Arkham City was so close to perfection in both game mechanics, and production values, that there was next to nothing to improve.
Maybe it's just youtube being weird but did anyone else think the frame rate was terrible? Especially when they did the wide camera pan around the bat cave.
See, I don't mind it's more in terms of mechanics, I just hope it's got new stuff in terms of story.
I hope the facial animations were still in development in this video, because they looked comically bad.
Sounds like a case of too much of a good thing, there really isn't anything different from the past games
Its hard to improve upon perfection.
Eugh, the writers on this game are the same who did the Army of two games. It really shows when Bruce starts shouting out exposition and step-by-step how to get past this scene for all the dummies out there. I'm afraid they fucked some of the charm up. I'll still buy it of course. Also major minus points for horrible alfred model.
I hope they include how he became Batman
I like how they talk about him not using the same level of brutality against the police while he's smashing them into the ground
It really shows when Bruce starts shouting out exposition and step-by-step how to get past this scene for all the dummies out there.
You mean exactly like how near the beginning of Arkham City you enter the church and bruce explains exactly what to do to take out the thugs without harming the hostages?
I really hope they actually explain the origins of Arkham, so the name isn't a pitiful artifact title.
I really hope they actually explain the origins of Arkham, so the name isn't a pitiful artifact title.
The origins of Arkham wouldnt make for a good game. Plus it couldnt even happen in this series because it was founded like, a hundred years ago or something. [editline]21st October 2013[/editline] It was literally "dudes make mental asylum, one dude goes nutzo and kills some patients, iunno, sleep it off"
Maybe it's just youtube being weird but did anyone else think the frame rate was terrible? Especially when they did the wide camera pan around the bat cave.
It's just this recording. Other videos of the console version have pretty smooth framerates.
Plus, its going to be an artifact title even if this game doesnt explain anything. It'd be kinda hard to keep shoehorning in "Arkham" stuff without it being detrimental to the game. I cant see the sequel to Arkham City actually having a bigger "Arkham" institution.
Why are they wearing full armour inside the police station
Why are they wearing full armour inside the police station
They're most likely getting ready to go somewhere.
Why are they wearing full armour inside the police station
gotham
Why are they wearing full armour inside the police station
^What isnipeu said. The city is in lockdown and the GCPD is constantly patrolling the streets to maintain order, so there always has to be a ready supply of SWAT officers prepared to go out there and fight either Batman or the eight assassins after his head.
I hope they include how he became Batman
parents shot bruce grows becomes ninja man watch year one it's really good arkham origins
Got this free with my video card. I hope its good. I really liked Asylum

"I need to get past this place without being seen by the thugs... better find a different path." "It's too dangerous to go against Killer Croc now, I need to get my gadget." "These ledges are too slippery, I can't use my grappling hook." "This radar shows me the sound waves my steps are making; I should be careful to not make too much noise..."
Got this free with my video card. I hope its good. I really liked Asylum
Are you saying you havent played City?
Are you saying you havent played City?
Probably about half way through it then it got to hard for me. Its a really good game but its to hard for me unfortunately. Sounds stupid i know. Like when the people started getting riot shields and stun rods, i couldnt beat them.

The GCPD announcer sounds like Velma from Scooby Doo.

"he won't treat them with the same brutality as he does with the thugs on the street" *batman does a fist of the north star combo on a swat guy and then round house kicks him in the face, then proceeds to stomp on one."
i wish i hadn't looked up batmans voice actor and found out that he is chris redfield
who on earth did they model alfred on
