this looks cool as heck. sue me.
Okay, I'm hype. It seems like a weird unholy mix of Left 4 Dead, MGS3 and 5, and the plethora of survival style games. I like the barricade mechanics, though if you can't fulton emplacements back, I'll be pissed.
Was that slingshot literally a tranq pistol with a physical projectile and the reload animation elongated?
Melee weapons and a genuine injury system compared to the weird rare-occurrence oddity in MGSV are cool, but all this just makes me lament all the possibilities MGSV could've had with co-op rather than this.
Is it just me or does this seem to have a lot of recycled stuff from MGS V?
Oh well, at least the FOX engine isn't going to waste, at least for now.

there's some new stuff here and there, but yeah, it's like at least 80-85% recycling
Seeing the slingshot gives me hope for the return of the human slingshot:

Looks ten times better than expected
This looks cool, but I'm not a big fan of yet another zombie game. Could have been really cool with human enemies I think.

i mean when someone already made the core basis for you, it's hard to fuck it up unless you go in and try to change things big time without knowing what you're doing

What.
Well, I guess it's nice that Konami did more than just slap a zombie themed skin on top of MGSV. They actually added some new mechanics to the game, some of which are kind of interesting, and could even be cool in the base game.
It looks sort of fun, but I really don't want to give Konami any money, so I don't think I'm going to buy this.
I'll wait until I've seen some actual real gameplay instead of set pieces. It looks kinda cool, but that's the point of presentations like this.
I just hope there's like Metal Gears and hostile soldiers/tribes in the game. So far it just looks like a weird mod they expect us to pay for. Those melee weapons look okay, the bow and slingshot look interesting. It's got really video gamey stuff in it for a game about being stranded, like the instant building of stuff. Other than that it looks rather... disappointing. Hopefully they show us something else, soon.

While I do agree Konami is scum and their previous actions in the past should not be supported, I do think that if you want them to continue publishing non-mobile/non-pachinko machines you should speak with your wallet.

well it also depends on how the pachinko market branches out
seeing as Konami chose a time to get into it when regulations started hammering down to bypass its 'gray area' on gambling, something partially responsible for SNK ditching the pachinko to get back into games themselves
I noticed that the base they're holding is a reskinned version of Shago Village, the same place the MGSV gameplay trailers were set :v:

Which makes me wonder if the map is basically just going to be Afghanistan with destroyed buildings and shit scattered around
i think it looks absolutely dull
props to konami for not trying to create a kojima-level main story but still managing to make an interesting game out of the universe
I hope they change that Bow animation, what the hell is that?
kinda makes me want to play mgsv again. say what you want about the story but the gameplay for me was a++++
CRAFTING
SURVIVAL
ZOMBIES
Really taking a big risk with this one.
Well, this actually does look fun. There aren't enough zombie games out there that have stealth mechanics. But if it's really $40, that's a bit steep.
Looks like a fun game to play with some friends. Doubt it will be worth the full price though, I'll wait until the reviews come out though.
lmfao this area is ripped straight from mgsv

what a fuckin joke man

playing catch with turds is probably fun with friends
I think even just a few hours of this game would be enough to put me to sleep at my desk. I've never seen anything more bland

I'm pretty sure the whole game plays in a alt. dimension of MGSV which TBH could be very fun if they let us revisit the GZ blacksite and roam around in Africa.

it makes a lot of sense in context of the game but to a lot of people it just screams that konami doesn't want to make another environment
The most retarded knock-off yet...
And if they had wormhole extractors, why didn't they extract themselves out?!
What?
Where do those resources go? To their base of operations?
But where is that base of operations located, if they've just passed through the nether and got stranded in another dimension?
I can't wait for Jim to rip this shit apart...
