Moral of the story: Women are shallow, suicide is the right way out.
Shame you'll never actually see these unedited again, unlike Looney Tunes.
HE LITERALLY FLIPPED HIS LID I CAN'T BELIEVE IT

the funniest episode i've seen was the one where Tom goes to this white cat and sings under the window and Jerry starts fucking shit up and the dog gets involved, I remember every single person in the room watching it then was literally crying from laughter.
getting drunk off milk is an achievement
Darkest one in my opinion was the one where tom died, and in order to get into heaven he had to get an apology slip signed by jerry. One scene in particular at heaven's check-in counter involved a wet sack hopping up to the counter, and 3 kittens jumping out.
This didn't even have anything remotely humorous. Hell, it doesn't even make sense in the canon. Tom and Jerry aren't friends and throughout this story they're portrayed as best buds, and it never even mentions the fact that Tom has consistently wanted to murder Jerry

Tbh. every episode with the black lady in it doesn't really ring well with me.

It's not really a complicated cartoon, there isn't much of a canon.
I don't remember any Tom & Jerry episodes I watched when I was younger, yet for some reason I was able to remember seeing this one in the first 30 seconds. Weird.

Tom and Jerry has been passed around between a number of studios, and none of them could even stay consistent with their own work, let alone eachother's. Hell, there really wasn't even an attempt to be consistant; cartoonists didn't Also @Killuah: The black woman is ironically the least abusive owner Tom's ever had. Way better than bespectacled 1950s dad or poorly-drawn barbecue guy.
what did they censor? I remember watching this episode on tv a few years ago
They've been censoring Tom and Jerry for years, decades actually. Unlike Looney Toons, they don't keep a restored back up of the original. Pretty sure all this info is on the wiki. Case in point, WB put out a "Golden Collection" of LT back about five years ago, and it had a big ass warning about adult material on the back of it, and that this collection was absolutely not for kids, and it included episodes made during WW2 and other super politically incorrect stuff in their original forms. Tom and Jerry has no such archival. In the "three mousketeers" tom gets sentenced to death by guillotine. It was realistic to the time period though (french revolution), I miss when cartoons weren't just edgy for the sake of being edgy.
Didn't MGM go up in smoke? I heard something about it going up in smoke anyway.
I wish I knew these were life lessons when I was younger. I didn't even realize but some of these were so dark and twisted. I wouldn't turn around though and edit or censor these.

Tom and Jerry was so great, for a show that had almost no dialog it stayed really entertaining. Also I love the era in which it was made, back when Cartoons werent specifically made for kids/teens but just for everyone with no real set demographic.
