I don't know whether this has been posted before, but I find it pretty amazing how large the change in such a short distance.
this guy has great videos of north korea. doesnt still show the poorest parts that probably dont even have trains passing through.
Because getting caught showing the poorest parts will get you shot
North Korea looks depressing.
North Korea looks pretty clean and organised in this video. Not surprising since as the uploader says tourists are only allowed in the richer parts of North Korea.
But altough it looks clean I feel there is something seriously lacking when I watch the cityscape. North Korea looks really lifeless and depressing; the poeple in Pyonyang remind me of caged zoo animals.
I think there's some strange beauty to North Korea. I mean, don't get me wrong, the living standard is inhumane and the political system is beyond fucked, but... The architecture. The construction cranes standing over long-abandoned unfinished buildings all over the place. The brown ground where they haven't ever bothered to sow grass, the peeling paint, the rusting steel. It got this... I don't know. Look to it. I kinda like it.

Also. It's like, always foggy.
North Korea looks so... miserable.
I thought it looked kinda like City 17.
Blue rain boots seem to be the new style over there

that's because most of the architecture in city 17 is based off of eastern european/russian soviet era stuff. north korea is based off of the same because of it's influences from china and russia alike, mostly from the soviet era

It would make great reference material for a fictional town added into the stalker videogames, seeing how these buidlings all are basically frozen in time from the same era.
It's always sad for me to see this stuff because I always think that if their regime just let up a little bit in their rhetoric and scariness, they would be so much more prosperous.

I don't think that would help much, did you see how dead the land was? No grass, no leaves on trees, no crops, no flowers. It's dead.
