question, will the adult male audience drive out the child audience in theaters?

Isn't it kinda late for a movie? Didn't the whole pony craze die down a long time ago?
Just when I thought the full-tilt brony phase of the internet was over.
I want off this ride
Can't wait for the news story about a fat guy getting arrested and tried as a sex offender because he was caught jerking off in the theater around a bunch of little girls.
Only about 3 years too late to the party there.
Fandom aside it was a good cartoon, expecially since in 2011-2012 there weren't many good cartoons to watch, Adventure Time was just starting to air its second season, i remember the show getting worse when Faust left, Hasbro started to impose stuff to sell more toys and the MLP crew decided to pander to the Brony fandom with tons of references. I also find it weird that they decided to do a movie now after the fandom craze died down and isn't relevant anymore.
Theaters could do an 11pm showing for all the adults who want to go see the movie. I'm pretty sure there would be a lot of business for a late showing of MLP.

:why:
Isn't it kinda late for a movie? Didn't the whole pony craze die down a long time ago?
It would've died out even quicker if Hasbro stopped making more seasons of the show, but since a lot of people liked the show they're gonna keep making seasons. I think it's on its 6th-7th season iirc.
Isn't it kinda late for a movie? Also wtf since when did the purple one had wings.

I'm surprised bronies are still a thing
I'm surprised bronies are still a thing
I thought they'd die out years ago, but they're still a thing.
According to the comment section there's season 7 coming out soon(?) and a movie for that weird anthropomorphic spin off shit or something.
Well I guess since it's making a ton of money for Hasbro they're gonna milk it until it's as dried up as the Simpsons.
I can't believe this shit is still going after all these years. Everything I hear about the newer seasons sounds like shot garbage so I can't imagine this being any better.
Also wtf since when did the purple one had wings.
End of season 3. Big controversy with bronies and the head writer of the time, probably because their dreams got ruined forever (?). Don't ask me how I know that.
I'm kinda sad that bronies are no longer a thing anymore. I couldnt really tell you why, but there was something about living in a world where socially awkward people would get really into and build communities around watching a show for little girls and just spamming that shit all around, going into flame wars and being obnoxious to the point where they were a visible presence litterally everywhere on the internet, that just made this world worth living in. Nowadays in terms of weird unexplainable parallel universe bullshit we have like what, Donald Trump? I'd much rather go back to bronies, thank you very much.
oh yeah
Does anyone want to take bets on how many MLP fans might get arrested the night this movie premieres? (It doesn't have to be sexual stuff)
It took this long to charge the nuke?
Isn't it kinda late for a movie? Didn't the whole pony craze die down a long time ago?
The internet craze has died down, although the fandom is still around. The show's 7th season starts next week with the 8th already being confirmed, there's the Equestria Girls spinoff (think Monster High or any other generic magical girls in a high school cartoon) with 4 movies, and now a full pony movie, with some fairly big names (although I think Weird Al being in one of the episodes had a bigger impact on the fandom than Sia ever will). And hey, as long as the toys keep selling, Hasbro doesn't have a reason to stop. Even if the movie flops like Jem and the Holograms, the show will still continue for another year or two at least.

Yeah, they fucked up the rendering on the teaser. The movie won't look like they're emo or victims of domestic violence. Don't expect bronies to really fund the movie, though. Most of them are self-aware or shy enough to not go. The few that will go will make for some interesting stories, but not enough to pay for the budget. Maybe if the movie came out four years ago when everyone was still raving about the show.
can't wait for the local cinema to smell like a fish market
Gonna hop right on the bandwagon and be weirded out by the timing of this. You'd figure they would ride the craze as much as possible, seems pointless to release a movie now
I worked at a movie theater when they were showing the first one. My boss had no idea about bronies, so I warned him the night before. He laughed at first, and then gave me a look of "You're serious aren't you..." Sure enough, we ended up splitting the theaters. One for kids, one for bronies. It was for the best. The bronies were loud, obnoxious, and incredibly messy. They would yell about having sex with ponies and whatnot. Unfortunately, I've become desensitized to that kind of behavior on the internet, but seeing it in such close proximity to kids and parents was sickening.
