The mother told him that it was the welfare that allowed her to actually raise him and he says "lol no fuck you I'm successful so fuck poor people." I mean you see the same attitude over here and it's the most infuriating thing where people assume because they have money, they're more deserving of it than other people. Sure, some truly do work hard and deserve what they earn but this idea of I'm successful thus I must have deserved it more than others is insane. I mean I just finished college and was basically given a 50k a year job on a silver platter without even having to job search. It was basically sheer luck. Meanwhile there are guys in my own classes who I know for a fact worked harder than me and haven't gotten shit to show for it yet.

Most of the time kids brought up in a wealthy family know nothing else. They don't understand how others could be poor and jobless because the have had help and opportunities others could only dream of.

He looks like a small-souled bugman. Like, he goes "I'm a capitalist, I look at things very much economics related". The market is a tool for working out the price of saffron and televisions, it's not something you should be citing when somebody comes up to you and says "Impoverished people can't afford food for their children". If you have a soul, you aren't the sort of person who (upon being told some sort of social issue) states robotically "I am a capitalist, economics is all that matters"
