You may remember Jaimie Mantzel and his series of videos documenting his Giant Robot Project. The dude built a giant walking 6 legged robot out of aluminum from his house that he built himself in Vermont. Well, he has a new project. A gigantic floating house. So far he has 3 videos up documenting his project. But inspirational at the same time. The things he can do with his bare hands and brain are unbelievable.
He also designed these 6-legged robot toys.
does he have a job? like how does he afford all these materials as well as food for his family?
does he have a job? like how does he afford all these materials as well as food for his family?
Bank heists.
does he have a job? like how does he afford all these materials as well as food for his family?
He (had) a degree in Mechanical Engineering from MIT so I would bet he made good money in the years after school then just quit and moved off into the woods. Hes been able to live off that money because his cost of living is so low, he is incredibly self-sufficient. I recommend watching his older videos when he was still in the woods in Vermont, you'll see what I mean. I don't know if that's actually the case but it seems plausible.
I think he lives off of the royalties from the robot toys. It probably helps that he moved to Chile(?) where the cost of living is much lower.
This guy is so damn awesome; his charisma about life is inspiring

This guy would build his own island with his bare hands if he couldn't find one good enough.
