By now, there is no faith any of these adaptations will be decent.
I don't know, this looks like it actually could be good
The FMA adaptation wasn't as bad a people made it out to be
Wasn't the main character of Bleach like buff or something? Like, can't they find someone with muscles at least?
Considering how mediocre the manga was, I don't know. Most horrible live action adaptations were based on very good source materials (Death Note, Fullmetal Alchemist).
So maybe this one will turn out well because it's based on a bad manga.

It wasn't bad, it just dragged on too long. You want bad, look at Naruto and the sequel Boruto

I have never read Naruto but heard that it only became really bad in its last third. Boruto isn't even the same creator afaik.
I read Bleach twice. It was so painfully mediocre. The best aspect of it was its artstyle and even then there were 0 environments in it. Everything was so empty all the time. Characters were drawn well but that's all. Some of the action was alright.
The series went for too long but what really got on my nerves was the scheme of it. Hueco Mundo was the exact same arc scheme as Soul Society. Ichigo is just an empty shell with no ambition and no goals other than protecting his friends. Some of the villains were weak, boring and absolutely 0 understandable for why they do such things. The best villain was Aizen and it should have ended there with his defeat. But other than that there wasn't much going in it for me. The way Ichigo obtained his abilities was always the same scheme. Of course there is the rushed ending but considering that Kubo wanted to make the final fight longer but was left with 4-5 chapters by Shonen, really showed that the series had to end. And the series dropped in sales over a long time but I was always surprised about its popularity in general. But I'm also a person who values world building, a good background story, a journey and interactions between characters more than what Bleach did.
I have heard that he (Kubo) didn't even want to make the series like it is now. He wanted to make a supernatural detective story but since Shonen Magazine already had such a story, he had to change things up. And considering how empty and boring Bleach's world, mechanics and partially looks are, it's no surprise that the series became so bad. He simply wasn't trying that much and it's reflected in his drawings. Again, the environments were such a disappointment. Especially compared to other manga like One Piece or Berserk where the creators got more and more detailed over time, Bleach simply became more "functional" consisting only of minimally required visuals. I would give it a 5 at best out of 10. So much wasted potential and it's kind of apparent that he didn't like working on it that much if it's true that he wanted to make a detective story.
Is the whole movie going to be on that one street?
Is the whole movie going to be on that one street?
What I think it'll be:
First act probably street
Second act bridge to Soul Society
Third act: Soul society
Not sure if they will follow the storyline like in the manga though.

They probably won't be touching soul society in this movie at all. It was a huge arc.

Yeah, maybe. A complete original storyline could also be it.
sword is a little small

Nah it's comparable to what it looked like in the manga

it looks slightly smaller still.
Edit:
Not by a huge margin though.

These live adaptations always seem to suck the life and soul out of the original anime / manga they're replicating. Every single trailer I've seen for a live action just feels tacky and awkward.

Bleach makes me feel like an oldcunt. I remember waiting every week for the Shonen Jump release and eating that shit up after school. I was 15 or 16, damn.
every time I saw this show on toonami it was just guys floating over a cityscape talking about stuff instead of fighting
you nailed the feeling of it, I swear it was filler episode after filler episode. they'd drag a mediocre fight out over 4 episodes on the reg
It wasn't bad, it just dragged on too long. You want bad, look at Naruto and the sequel Boruto
I still can't get over that they named the sequel to Naruto... Boruto.
"I'M NOT NARUTO, I'M MY ORIGINAL CHARACTER, BLARUTO."

It's supposed to be a pun, Boruto = Bolt. Of course as many people have pointed out, that makes his father Nalt, which is fucking stupid and means nothing.

Now imagine waiting a week for 18-19 pages of blank white backgrounds in which the characters do fuck all
Well... It can't be worse than the hell verse movie.

Bleach was like 80% filler episodes.
It was the worst about it.

Now imagine working 90 hours a week to deliver those pages.
