I've basically given up hope for this series. He takes so long to update anymore, every time a new episode comes out I can't even remember what part of the game he's at. Hopefully he'll find time now to finish it up, because I really do enjoy it.
Jesus, I haven't watched one of these in months
He's slowely becoming based on valve time.
It's kind of sad, because these are best watched in batches.
It's hard to say that Black Mesa came out before this series was finished.
Man theese are so great... It is really a shame they take months and months between each episode.
Since it may be relevant.

"THOU SHALL NOT BE MISSED!"
Man, can't wait to see what he does once he gets to Xen.

Maybe take a helmet from one of the various HEV clad cadavers?
I gave up with these when they started coming out once every six months.

Quitters never win.
His voice reminds me of Ray Romano.
This did not show up on my subscription feed because series subscriptions have ceased to work and I don't want to subscribe to the entire machinima page just to see this one guy, plus two best friends play episodes.
Also I can guess why it takes so long to the guy to do this since it's pretty much a very scripted playthrough that requires a lot of thought, playtime and voice acting, but you'd think it would take a bit less than several months to get one episode done, especially when people like Two Best Friends Play can crap out one every two or three weeks.

Well, you have to understand TBFP is just a few hours (or less) of recording general gameplay, finding fun y shit, and then editing it. For Matt and Patt, it's pretty easy to get out an episode because there isn't a lot to be done.
It doesn't feel right when he screams (in his mind) when he jumps down off the cliffs. It just doesn't look like he is talking into freeman's mind. He could've added some reverb effects and some echo effects so he really stands there on the cliffs shouting and talking on the canyons. I know it's freeman's mind but he could've added some more effort into it. (and his previous episodes too)
Could have been more interesting for these episodes.

he's not always just thinking. in one of the earlier episodes, he calls out to check for survivors.
I think the reason these take awhile is because he's also working on Civil Protection, but I think I read somewhere on his website that this month he'll be working solely on Freeman's Mind just to see how many episodes he can get done in that time.

He barely works on Civil Protection. Its been 6 years since he started it and there have only been 8 episodes.
It's a shame there's only been like 5 episodes of this since I caught up last August.
He doesn't even seem to want it over with. In all videos, he inspects every single corner before progressing. It's still going to take years with this rate.

that actually makes sense, though. Freeman's Mind is basically "what if Gordon were actually concerned with staying alive", so realistically you'd want to check all the corners in case there were a functioning exit or some ammo. hell, most of the time he only progresses in the game by walking around aimlessly.
By the time he starts doing HL2, HL3 will be out. :v:
OH NO IT'S HAPPENING ALAOFD
I laughed so hard.

Reminds me of my workflow for even simple projects. I spend more time fixing things or doing tedious stuff to get to the real work than I do working on it.
I always love episodes that involve Gordon panicking a lot, or getting a new weapon that he's excited to use. This was both, and it was hilarious.
It's just a matter of time until Freeman and that rocket launcher fuck
I don't understand the people saying they're "giving up" on this? How could you possibly give up on watching something? It's not like you're the ones putting the effort in.
I'm glad he's making a bit more progress with each episode. It seems now he at least finishes a section before the video ends. In this case, the cliff.
Ross DID say he was considering switching over to Black Mesa if it came out before he was done, which it looks like it is! That would cut down on his work load a little, I guess.

I bet Gordon finds his glassses on the floor in the next episode, and when he puts them on it transitions from HL1 to Black Mesa.
