This is my dream job. Planning on majoring in Audio Engineering so I can one day make SFX for movies just like these guys. Awesome videos!
Having done minor Foley work, gotta respect the art. It's super time consuming and requires a special touch to do it well.

I would have loved to take audio engineering too but that shit's too expensive for me so I'm just learning it on my own.
I thought the dude in the first video was Alex Jones for a split second and I thought "Damn, this is what he's doing after infowars? Good on him!" but it wasn't.
foley work is a lot of fun, i recommend trying to find classes near you to try it out, if only for a day

Just about to finish my degree in it (hopefully in two months) but plan to major in Post audio with the goal of foley as an end all job. Post is great, just you have to get through the rough and tedious stuff like ADR and spotting. Best of luck to you, Its gunna be rough but rewarding if you do it.
A neat podcast about sound, 20 Thousand Hertz, recently did an episode on foley artists. Check it - https://www.20k.org/episodes/foley

My younger brother is an audio engineer (I'm a composer), but I can say from working with him its a lot of fun. He's said something to me before along the lines, "If you notice the sound in a movie the audio engineer did a really bad job."
Been working on sfx for video games. Amazing what sounds you can make from common objects.
adding to the pile, foley for animals in the past and the positives and some weird negatives and positives thereof in how we learn and understand them [this is the guy who did the terrible city flag design TED talk]
