Graphically it looks really good, if that really is in-game.
Wow, that's a major leap from Assassin's Creed 4. I'm a little let down by the lack of color in this preview, but maybe that will change later on.
So is Napoleon going to be Good or Bad?
Did anyone else see some really bad lines across the screen? Like on every shot. You can only really see it when you fullscreen and put it up to 1080.
They never look as good as in early trailers.
Certainly time to upgrade.
If that really is in-game, I'm impressed. But after seeing the difference in Watch Dog's trailers, I'm skeptical.
I don't doubt its inengine footage (look at the top left building roof in this image:) My concern is that they will do a FarCry 3 and that this is just a really detailed section that will only appear in the trailer and the real game will have less detail. It's in-game footage I can tell by the hood clipping and shadows at 0:48 and having seen quite a few in-game footages in my time
The first ever trailer for Assassin's Creed had the hanging of men in it. The latest one has a guillotine in it... Progress, my friends!
ubisoft is the king of bullshots, so I wouldn't expect it to look this good but who knows, maybe they're grabbing their balls for once
It's in-game footage I can tell by the hood clipping and shadows at 0:48 and having seen quite a few in-game footages in my time
I've seen all sorts of things clip in cinematics
That trailer is blatently cgi I can tell you now it will look nothing like that on release.
For a second I thought this was a tech demo by Ubisoft running Assassin's Creed in Unity Engine, and just going wow, they really do good with it...
That was a lot of distortion on the edges of objects. It was really distracting but I guess they wanted to throw something out to officially announce it.
are you ready for a french revolution?? *crowd goes oui*
That trailer is blatently cgi I can tell you now it will look nothing like that on release.
Actually it's very possible for it to look like that on release In a cutscene anyway Once you force the camera behind the character and slap the HUD on it becomes a lot harder to appreciate how good games look [editline]21st March 2014[/editline]
I've seen all sorts of things clip in cinematics
Yeah, but even AC2's prerendered trailer was of much higher quality So it's pretty pointless saying that this is prerendered
I want to have a fist fight with napoleon Its the only thing that could top the battle pope
That trailer is blatently cgi I can tell you now it will look nothing like that on release.
It's going to be next-gen only (fucking finally), chances are it is in-game or it will look very close to that come release.
I haven't heard of this title before and assumed that somebody had remade Assassin's Creed in Unity :v:
I don't know, when MGS4 made its first preview in 06' people said it was all CGI and fake and lord and behold when it come out in 08' it looked exactly as it did in the first trailers. The point is that it can be hard at first to grasp what a truly next gen game can look like

reminds me a lot of the trailer for the first game
"press x to surrender"
I think it's ingame. I mean look at Ryse, it looks pretty close to its ingame graphics.
I came in expecting Unity engine. Left not vomiting
"press x to surrender"
I know it's a fun stereotype and all but Come on For the vast majority of their existence the French were THE baddest motherfuckers out there
Yeah but after watchdogs its a bit hard to trust ubisoft on graphics.
How hard is it to understand the difference between PS4 and PC graphics? They never gave you false information to destroy your "trust" or whatever.
I wish they'd make an Asscreed where you could play as a Templar in the simulation too. Being a Templar in the future in the last game was really interesting.
For a while I just ignored this reveal because I thought it was just some Assassin's Creed game made in Unity :v:
