Raul Julia was too good for this movie. But damn did he do a fine job for his kids.

People love to dig on it but it actually has a lot of good things going for it.
It was by far the most faithful game adaptation of its era (yeah they changed Chun-Li from an Interpol agent to a reporter but even the rest of her arc was pretty faithful). The action scenes were mostly fine (being on one's deathbed is not conducive to good fight scenes). It had a ton of hilarious lines - not just so-bad-we-laugh, but they-were-trying-to-make-a-joke-and-it-worked.
Sure the writing was pretty stilted, they tried *too* hard to squeeze the huge roster into a cohesive plot, and nobody could match Raul Julia for sheer hammy charisma, but it's actually a perfectly fine movie.
Not too mention there is a worse Street Fighter movie out there.
