Even though I dislike alot of these "featured creators" (Sam Hyde is still a gem), atleast they use a clever pun for a name.
More like hate group friendly
Good intentions, if only it weren't ran by scumbags.
Holy fuck Tudd can't you just resist the urge to post the stupidest shit on the internet? Like, legit, this is just worthless content. The video is meaningless and all you're doing is publicising the idea, why do you keep littering this section with shit like this? How exactly are we benefiting from you senselessly creating shitstorms on every fucking section? (User was banned for this post ("Not a Tudd thread." - UncleJimmema))
Hatreon. About as subtle as you are funny, alt-right.
So this is how Sam's going to fund his next shooting.
Fun fact: Hatreon is set up by the 3D Printer gun guy, aka Cody Wilson. Also fun fact: he appeared on Episode 57 of The Dick Show in which Dick complains about some of the problems he's been having with Patreon. Cody Wilson managed to convince Dick to jump on Hatreon. Soon after Dick is repulsed at who ends up in his suggested creators section, which as of today includes Richard Spencer: famous white supremacist and man Dick totally doesn't want to be associated with. :P
I've never wanted to spend my money on something less than this website

Though I don't think the site on principle is bad at all. Just has unsavory types, but that is kind of the point.
Dick Masterson still has an account on the site as far as I can tell though.
Yup, he has it up for people who don't want to support Patreon, and partially because of the free speech angle.
Yup, he has it up for people who don't want to support Patreon, and partially because of the free speech angle.
Well I can get why he doesn't like being on a site surrounded by alt-right types on the onset, but I do think it could be a valid platform if it does keep the doors open for anyone.
Though I don't think the site on principle is bad at all. Just has unsavory types, but that is kind of the point.
Well, that's kind of the problem with these kinds of things. You start out by saying, "free speech", right? It's all about free speech. Well, a lot of people are comfortable where they are, and would rather people like Richard Spencer be kicked out. As a result, you end up with those exiled people joining your free speech network. And those people attract an unsavory following, leading the audience to change from "free speech audience" to "white supremacist audience". That's not me kissing Twitter's ass, or Patreon's ass, or whatever. I totally want a competitor to succeed in breaking up these monopolies. But a competitor who doesn't want to associate themselves with only these kinds of people need to come up with a better reason to entice followers, and they just haven't done it. Also, I, myself, don't really want a place where anyone can say anything. I'm all for kicking people off if they're terrible people, and that goes across the entire political spectrum. Are places like Twitter picking and choosing? Yeah. Is Patreon doing unnecessary investigative work on the people on the platform because of this weird internet standard people have set up? Yeah. But is Gab.ai, Hatreon, and all of these other free-speech places the answer? Nah, not really. It just ends up serving a new audience, not common people like its intentions are.
atleast they use a clever pun for a name.
Lol how is openly admitting that your platform is intended for hateful "freedom of speech" and other things no other crowd funding will touch with a 10 foot pole "clever"? It's not tongue in cheek, it is self defeating and actually just plain ol' stupid if you ask me. They're really making their cause clear. Can't wait for someone to tell me this was the whole point and they got a snowflake like me triggered, got 'em!
When people disagree with your generally terrible, hateful, and inadmissible opinions it's always easier to say "They just hate free speech!" than really think about what you're saying. What a bunch of babies.
Well, it's "clever" depending on who you are. There's people that would find the name clever because they think they're being wrongfully labeled hateful for what they think is just having an unpopular opinion. Seeing a website embracing that word is a signal to embrace who you are. Unfortunately, I believe this only does more to serve a special audience and makes it harder to believe it's all about free speech.
What a terrible name and branding. Doesn't help your cause.
if i use this site to crowdfund a gay nazi dating app called hitlr, do i have to actually deliver a finished product?
"Hatreon: too much of a despicable piece of shit for Patreon? We got ya!"
When people disagree with your generally terrible, hateful, and inadmissible opinions it's always easier to say "They just hate free speech!" than really think about what you're saying. What a bunch of babies.
Dick Masterson was having issues because his Maddox's clique was trying to tell Patreon that Dick was harassing them. At the time of this writing, Dick Masteron's girlfriend actually has a restraining order against Maddox's girlfriend because she tried calling every school in a specific LA county to get Dick's girlfriend fired, so you can see the lunacy in trying to view things the Maddox's way. Patreon's response was to contact Dick and basically interrogate him about the whole situation and threatened his income through the site even though they admitted to only hearing reports, which is kind of bullshit. Why is Patreon filling in for the police? Why is Dick guilty before actual evidence is given? Not to mention, Dick's been on Patreon for a year at this point and has tens of thousands of dollars going through the site, to which Patreon benefits. That's why Dick is on Hatreon, not because he likes the other creators on the site but because he doesn't like being treated like a villain when he's not. It was only after he signed up that he realized things were kind of fucked, but he keeps it up for people that want to support through there over Patreon.

His choice to be on the same site as a literal nazi sure makes him sound like a stand up kinda guy. Especially when he still gets $20k a month from Patreon for being mad about feminism or whatever.
Please fund my righteous quest for the future of the white race. Read below for rewards: $10 a month: I will chant the name of Adolf Hitler to a random stranger $20 a month: I will make a video in which I cry about people online, about people crying online and how I am stronger than them $40 a month: Furry Porn (NO PANTHERS)
Hey it's a thing I probably won't ever think about again. Good for them I guess, but does it really benefit from giving everyone a platform?

Especially when he still gets $20k a month from Patreon for being mad about feminism or whatever.
He isn't mad about feminism. I disagree with a lot of what he says when it comes to politics, but his show, for the most part, is about what makes him "a rage", i.e. focusing on minor annoyances and blowing them up to be a way bigger deal than they are as a comedian. Back in 2008, he wrote a book called "Men Are Better Than Women" and it bends over backwards to be satirical. When Maddox's beef was at its peak, he tried to pin this article on Dick when the point of the article was to show how awful statistics can be when it comes to arguing. And he regularly shits on statistics when it comes to a lot arguments because it devolves into non-argument and instead a pissing contest of who can manipulate statistics to make their side sound smarter than the other side. I'm not big on the book (it's big-time edge and he's not like that anymore), but I don't think the guy is hateful and I don't think that he should be categorized as simply "mad about feminism", because it's untrue. I think on the subject of feminism, he thinks equality and all that is fine, but he doesn't like the increasing shame for being a dude. His first guest was a feminist, too, and I wrote his theme song even though we're pretty ideologically opposed. And a regularly reoccurring guest is as liberal as it gets straight from New York. With that said, I dislike the fact that he's on Hatreon and he should jump off ASAP.

society ends not with a bang; but a whimper just sad that people will undo all of this work for jokes

Especially online. [editline]23rd October 2017[/editline]
Then congrats to him. Dismissing someone by likening them to, or associating them with something bad like nazis is a poor line of logic. I think the site is daft and doomed to fail, but please use logic in your reasoning.

They're also very close to nazi ideology and people at white supremacist rallies consistently wave nazi flags, wear nazi regalia, and have chanted "the jews will not replace us". There's your logic you condescending dork.
Unfortunately, in my worldview, even stupid has the right to talk about their opinions. It's not like the French could have dropped some i-messages on Hitler and he woulda said "my bad dudes I'll take my ball and go home."

if you consciously support anyone on a website called "hatreon" you're a piece of shit
"clever" pun? branding yourself straight up on hate speech is so cute, and totally won't backfire when everyone can block you out of venues regardless of 'free speech' bawwing because you've declared your motive so clearly now If this isn't a real world idiot cull I'll be disappointed [editline]e[/editline] legit how many of these snowflakes are gonna pronounce it like it's 'hat' like nobody's gonna notice
