[hd]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PI7nRkq9CEo[/hd] Posted on their official youtube page. Here's the story how it happened as well. https://rpcs3.net/blog/2017/03/11/des/ First Wii-U, now this. What a time to be alive.
It's nice that PS3 emulator is coming together nicely. Some great games to play on it. On the other hand, I wanted X360 emulator only for Dead Rising, but since that is officially released on PC, I don't really need it.
Once RDR becomes playable (which I doubt will happen anytime soon or at all) will I be interested. This is still really cool though.
Next generation of emulators is happening. Hopefully they make good progress and don't die. Can't wait for the day when I can play ps3 games like I can ps2 ones on my pc.
Well that came out of nowhere.
I hear a lot about how PS3 emulation is a difficult process because of the PS3's byzantine 8-process setup. Since the PS4 and xbone as set up more like a traditional PC, wouldn't that make them easier to emulate in the future?

The rest is quite different. One big thing being shared memory.
Those framerates remind me of when I tried playing Dark Souls back before I knew about DSFix. It's nice to see that PS3 emulation is getting up there, though. It would be cool to finally try out Demon's Souls

Sometimes i also use them just because playing the console version of something is easier to do than trying to get the PC version running on modern hardware can be a bit on an inconvenience.
Damn, and here my PC melts trying to play Zone of the Enders on PCSX2, you must need a beast machine to be able to run this well.
Damn, and here my PC melts trying to play Zone of the Enders on PCSX2, you must need a beast machine to be able to run this well.
they were using ryzen to run this
they were using ryzen to run this
Ah yes, the Ryzen i7-5820K.
The only reason to use an emulator is exclusives.
That and being able to turn pretty much any emulated game into a "HD remake" of sorts, just bumping up the resolution makes a huge difference, I've noticed a lot of games tend to have relatively high quality assets but you can't see the detail because of the awful resolution they normally run at [t]http://i.imgur.com/eaRq3Me.jpg[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/HW36JgW.jpg[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/vI0DSBN.png[/t] No FPS drop even at 4K in PCSX2 with just a 970, it's kinda amazing. The framerate in Citra takes a dive with the upscaling enabled but it's still early in development so that is to be expected
After all these years I still can't run Dirge of Cerberus in PCSX2
Damn, and here my PC melts trying to play Zone of the Enders on PCSX2, you must need a beast machine to be able to run this well.
I really wanna try emulators for PS2 games for Zone of the Enders, but I fear that my computer may be different from a consoles since there doesn't seem to be set system specs for emulators.

People with good Intel chips seem to be able to run it at 90% - 100% speed, only problem with Zone of the Enders is, even for a PS2 game it had really fantastic graphics for it's time, moreso with The Second Runner.

that's fucking smooth considering it's an interpreter
that's fucking smooth considering it's an interpreter
huh?
Never thought I'd see Demon's Souls being played on PC.
that's fucking smooth considering it's an interpreter
Would a recompiler be faster? In other emulators, the difference between both depends on the games.
huh?
Simple way to explain it: since the emulator can't understand the instructions Demon's Souls is giving it, the game has to pass through an extra layer that translates (or interprets) the instructions into ones it can actually execute.
that's fucking smooth considering it's an interpreter
Well at least playable
Once RDR becomes playable (which I doubt will happen anytime soon or at all) will I be interested. This is still really cool though.
For some reason the digital edition of Undead Nightmare bugs out if played too long. Hopefully the emulator fixes those issues along with a playable base game.
With PS3 and 360 emulators, how well do these tend to work for multi-player games or the online aspect in general? Does it work or does the game flip out thinking it's a pirated copy, assuming that you can even emulate the online aspect?
Oh wow, the comment-section of the video. If you think PC-gamers are elitist shitheads, take a peek there.
that's fucking smooth considering it's an interpreter

that's fucking smooth considering it's an interpreter
did i have a stroke
Oh wow, the comment-section of the video. If you think PC-gamers are elitist shitheads, take a peek there.
Why did I put myself through that
Oh wow, the comment-section of the video. If you think PC-gamers are elitist shitheads, take a peek there.
Every time I look after somebody says "don't read the comments" it's already been filled with counter-arguments.
Oh wow, the comment-section of the video. If you think PC-gamers are elitist shitheads, take a peek there.
"Don't read the comments section" is like saying "Don't look down"
