Why do people make 32 man serves when this gamemode only supports 6? You can only go spec if there is more than 6 players already on.
The server needs the extra slots for the enemy bots.
Because Valve said to server owners that their server needs to have 32 players.
Still works without it I guess, but still.

Waited in a queue for that shit 2 hours today, with two friends in my party. We got to 20 minutes, and then we got a message that said "You have been removed from the queue." Words cannot describe the anger.

Set displayed player count to 6
In server command start line put playercount 32.
Now shows up correct in server lobby.
example: map mvm_decoy; sv_password cuntdestroyer; maxplayers 32
then when you want pubs to join: sv_password "" then heartbeat
easy shit fellas. Forward your ports also.

why dont you just make private servers with hamachi or other clients
1.) Host a listen server on mvm_<whatever> with max players set to 32 and time limit set to 0
2.) Open console
3.) sv_lan 0
4.) sv_pure 1
5.) heartbeat
6.) map mvm_<whatever>
Give your friends your public IP and enjoy.
luckily my friend found a private server that a guy is renting out and is such a bro that he lets us use it anytime.

the other slots are the bots, the less slots means less bots that show up in one wave.
I didnt think you could use the server browser? every server I tried joining from the browser kicked me for not using matchmaking...
You can't join some or all Valve servers through the browser.
40 minutes of waiting to get "Connection failed after 4 retries". :suicide:
