This kinda remind me of my not-really-pleasant experience at zoo.
When i was visiting a gorilla with my relatives,that thing threw a medium sized dirt ball to us.
Luckily,that ball didn't hit anyone.

Plenty of zoos have monkeys/primates in open enclosures, usually prevented from escaping by tall unclimbable walls (this video I think) or a moat. Both don't have trees grow near the edges so they can't just climb one and jump out.
