"I'm not drunk, you're drunk!" spoken like a true Irishman.
The writing is good but everything else is pretty middle of the road. [t]https://puu.sh/zznag/51ad19c0a5.png[/t] Like take this for example. Everything is so flat, there's no definition to much of anything since the lighting is almost not even there, and the back is just obscured by a voulumetric the same colour as the janitor's shirt, which overlaps for good measure to make sure that nothing contrasts. The foreground is barren, the background is overly simplistic and blurry with brush errors, and this is the shot/set you spend the most time with. It's not bad but it's not good either.

The animator does way more Gmod stuff than SFM, and I can see a bit of the snappier Gmod style in this video. edit: in other terms they should do more SFM stuff if they want to move past the simpler gmod style
Viscera Cleanup skin coming soon?
Sound editing in SFM? The echos in some shots make the lines borderline intelligible.
Sound editing in SFM? The echos in some shots make the lines borderline intelligible.
It was reuploaded to fix audio issues, the original was a lot worse. edit: also the Janitor model has strangely small/stubby thumbs, some of the official classes have this as well
Good concept, didn't quite nail the landing though, in my opinion.
Sound editing in SFM? The echos in some shots make the lines borderline intelligible.
Source Filmmaker doesn't have sound editing. The best you can do is adjust the volume of clips. Any sound editing needs to be done in post. And this short really needed some post-work done. Both sound-wise, but also color correction, as a previous post mentioned. I've seen Marvel films with more saturation. I don't know if post-processing is allowed in the Saxxies, but this short really needs it. Especially since, as also mentioned previously, the animation is hardly stellar. It gets the job done, but that's about it. That being said, the janitor model itself is pretty darn good, and faithful to the art style. I don't know if it's an official asset or not (haven't paid attention to TF2 in years), but if not, then whoever built it did a great job, in my opinion.
Also friendly reminder that this exists, and has only seven thousand views, despite a shitty GMOD version that runs on the same concept, simply executed infinitely worse, has several hundred thousand.

It shows the impact of the matches from a normal person's perspective and helps expanding on the universe. The one in the op is meh. Nothing stands out to make it interesting. Not even the Willie the groundskeeper attitude because the voice is just so unfitting.

Made by Maxxy I think.

Of course a character like that has It's own issues (as it was pointed out the weightmapping on his sleeves), but I work on these durring my freetime to get better at modelling in general, I receive a lots of feedback from various sources that helps me keep getting these models better. It's also the Saxxies / Community projects that keeps me motivated to work on more characters (such as this great video). Lately there is not many 'active' modellers left that worked on such great characters ( Rebaccus,Chemical Alia,RoxyPox ), I still feel like there is a good potential on providing these characters for the community videos / artworks because they are great (It'd also be a great thing to have more people interested in specially HWM models, I can help anyone regarding that!). [sp]Recently I was also testing the S2FM (dota2) and the HWM capabilites, It's nearly not as supported as the HWM in the old SFM, but there are also some great additions like limitless weightmapping and 4 bones can influence a vert limit ( compated to 3 in old SFM ).[/sp] [t]https://i.imgur.com/wc5R8Rl.png[/t] There is also this gem made for an "unreleased 5 minute film project", I hope It's going to be great (Zoey,SedimentarySocks,Blaholtzen worked on it!) And thanks again for the kind words, I hope others enjoy using the models too, I can't wait to see the Saxton Hale model being used in an entry similar to this.

When it comes to audio in SFM you gotta ad an ampersand or something to avoid the audio from echoing in the map, which is stupid, but kind of an oversight by the animator.
Dude, your models and model edits have been a lifesaver for me with zero modeling capabilities to be able to re-texture them to look like the people I animate. I'm pretty sure every one of the character models I've used with facial animation have been from you because all the other ones don't use HWM flexes and I can't stand working with anything else.
