Only decent thing I can remember is the first season of the clone wars cartoons from the early 2000's and they were way too short.

If you watch them again, you'll find almost every bit of dialogue will make you cringe. What made it good was that there was hardly any. The newer show is what happens when they need to pad a three minute action scene with eighteen minutes of something else.

If you watched TCW you'd actually see it was a pretty good show, great action,set pieces, so forth. But it wasn't terrible by any means some cringey moments here and there but it was it was far from bad in any sense.

I gotta hand it to them, these guys aren't afraid to show assets that aren't finished yet. Also, I'm actually kinda liking this guy's character, not getting my hopes up because most of what they've shown has been pretty iffy so far, but I think I'll at least give it a chance.

It's been all over the prequels and expanded universe. Just because the originals were the best Star Wars films doesn't mean they invalidate every thing else.

Did they fire their character design team or something? The people who made The Clone Wars could actually design faces, every face in Rebels so far has looked like a goddamn babyface. The clone wars had really distinct facial features, and some rather dark stuff. But TCW had that same look going about it being very light and colorful, though the tone change around season 3 with better budgets, updated models gave it a nice gritty feel to it. That being said I'm hoping the show is good, I'm hoping we get our Stormtrooper analogs to Clonetrooper episodes, Order 66 episodes, so forth. But we forget this, the main character is a fucking kid whose a Jedi(why did they spoil this?),a concept version of Cheiw,a ~whacky~ droid,a waifu matieral Mandalorian, and Green Buttcheeks pilot, then a space cowboy.

Wow haha this sci-fi story kind of reminds me of Star Wars.

The reason he has mutton chops is because he later becomes a good guy and to prove it he stops shaving, letting his facial hair grow out and reveals himself as Chewbacca.

Atleast It's nice to get an Imperial character with personalty, maybe he won't be made into a joke like General Grevious and the other villains in The Clone Wars.
