So they finally found a use for the Ice Key? :v:
Are they still planning to release this for the WiiU/Switch?
Still looks super empty, and a lot of the visual and audio effects are kinda... awful? I hope it's good though, but I'm getting more and more doubtful with every video they release
Much better than that casino stage they showed before. Actually looks pretty good! I will say though, I thought they would have remembered how sore fans are about the inclusion of ...cars. I wounder if they'll be tongue in cheek about it.
Are they still planning to release this for the WiiU/Switch?
Switch. Wii U version got cancelled.
Didn't even realize Team17 was in on this, was a long time since I last saw their logo
Are they still planning to release this for the WiiU/Switch?
They just put out a Switch Trailer today:
So they finally found a use for the Ice Key? :v:
wouldn't it be great if that wasn't in the game, screwing with people once again.
This more organic environment looks a lot nicer than the casino did, but it still feels... sparse? Like they built the map and placed the items but then scaled up the environment to 150-200%.

Like they were designed for a character whose twice the size of yooka. I guess it won't be too bad to navigate because it's got that fast moving roll move, but it's still really weird.
I think this game has to take a necessary delay.
This just looks like a "Mario in Unreal 4 Engine!" video to me; gameplay and everything.
It feels like there needs to be more collectibles? I dunno. It feels empty. [editline].[/editline] To explain more, I think putting the abilities into a single power bar may have had some visual negatives? Those being that those collectibles can't be placed to decorate the level anymore. Feathers and eggs are the main thing in Banjo-Kazooie/Tooie. Same thing in DK 64 (though that game has a shitlooooad of collectibles) but you had oranges, ammunition, crystal coconuts and such. They made the level look more full and they also respawned, so even when you collected the notes, jiggies, or golden bananas the level still had some stuff going on. I sorta feel like this is part of the issue. The only collectibes here are those ghosts, the quills, and the pagies. I would imagine the ghosts respawn but other than that, it leaves the level pretty empty after you go through it. Maybe that's one explanation?
Compared to the Banjo games, there just seems less going on in the level. You've got a few items around, but after they're collected, what's keeping the level interesting?
Those of you complaining about scale obviously haven't played Banjo Tooie.
Those of you complaining about scale obviously haven't played Banjo Tooie.
Wanted to post the same thing lol, been playing through the XBLA version recently
it looks fine [editline]1st March 2017[/editline]
Much better than that casino stage they showed before. Actually looks pretty good!
erm, you turn into a truck in banjo tooie
Also a submarine
Those of you complaining about scale obviously haven't played Banjo Tooie.
I've 100%ed it multiple times. It's weird, I feel the opposite of most of the comments. I felt like the casino level was more full and this one is less. I'm just a weirdo :v: I have to say the toy box was really fun so I'm still really excited for it. It just sorta seems empty is all.
