I was so waiting for this.
I expected this game to be bad the minute they announced it, but more like mediocre, not this bad.
12:28 is magical.
Every alien has the same fucking face and it's infuriating me. Especially since the Asari one is like... weirdly round and completely unlike any of the Asari in the OT.
The person describing the faces as Sims 3 models was really accurate
Oh god they're puddins.
20 minutes, wow
yeck
20 minutes, wow
Well there's a lot of material to work with
The part where they trip the laser and fall, and then the main character is immediately still just made me lose my shit so hard.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/l8loDRB.png[/t] Damn you forever and always with your slimy corporate tactics, EA.
I think what this video did way better than all the other shit is that it gave way more context. Plenty of the faces initially were like "Oh ok, that's pretty expressive. I don't see the issue" But the context of "oh, this person is fucking dying and the face looks like they're laughing, yeah that's bad." Like the one with Ryder getting up, I thought she was smiling. It was only now that I realized she was supposed to be in pain. Now I see a bunch more of the issues described.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/l8loDRB.png[/t] Damn you forever and always with your slimy corporate tactics, EA.
EA will probably give them another chance, but this is probably one of their last well funded games.
it's EA's fault in the first place for ruining bioware and micromanaging them from the head to force them towards the common denominator
oh god i was at the bit where two dudes are kissing, i opened up task manager and it conviently came up right as they were kissing christian parent w10
Holy shit that ending.
The characters embracing in love with a dead expression is amazing. A lot of the animations are bad but that one seemed like they didn't even animate it at all.
Wow, you weren't kidding. CrowbCat really did take his time to make a video for this game
It's not okay when it's the Switch but it's okay when it's Mass Effect
"I don't like crowbcat because he cherrypicks" "Yeah his videos are misleading" "Did you know Giantbomb even wanted to take down one of his videos because it misrepresented their opinion" There, the exact same discussion that's taken place in the last 5 crowbcat threads is complete.
EA will probably give them another chance, but this is probably one of their last well funded games.
Bioware (the main team, not the Montreal C-team fuckboys) are already working on a new unnamed IP.
It's not okay when it's the Switch but it's okay when it's Mass Effect
These problems exist in every copy of the mass effect Andromeda game. The problems he listed with the switch were individual based.
These problems exist in every copy of the mass effect Andromeda game. Selling a game in this state should be illegal.
The video was great, then i saw the ending. That was outstanding.
to an extent idk he's always dishonest and this game does have problems but pointing out it can be an exaggeration is always seen as a hard defense of the title
Well I mean some can be hard to replicate, but all the disks are the same in the end so it's not like hand picked quotes or specific hardware problems.
This is an example of a good Crowbcat video. This is coming from a long-time fan of Mass Effect. I've been invested in the series for a decade and I should be defending this game from the depths of my heart, but I can't do it. I'm sure that a lot of this is overplayed at least in the context of serious glitches and bugs, but the overall feel of the game is wrong thanks to the animation quality and voice acting. They aimed for a "cinematic" experience and couldn't even get that right. I will play Andromeda eventually, but not right now. Like, the animation stuff in the previous games was certainly nothing to write home about, but it looked correct. This looks like they tried as hard as possible to make it look real but did nothing extra to polish. It's almost like none of the animators knew they could move the character's eyelids. So far the best looking character I've seen was that alien dude that shows up at 11:20. He still looks very cartoony but the face expresses some actual emotion simply from the eyelids being moved correctly. It's just very jarring that there are examples of proper, good, and decent animation quality in this game but there is still a ton of stuff that's just bad. Usually, it's the other way around. Lots of polish with the occasional turd.
Mass Effect is dead, long live The Witcher
Bioware (the main team, not the Montreal C-team fuckboys) are already working on a new unnamed IP.
Which is probably being reviewed by EA as we speak.
