Not the best song to post here if you want people to see SPG lol, it's very silly. Purposefully so, but with only this song as context for their sound and style a lot of people are probably gonna be like "wtf is this".
wtf is this
See I told you

Also fun fact, I hugged Bunny Bennett recently
Yea, this song is really silly. I love SPG though, so here's one of their better covers:

It's not really meant to expose people to SPG or anything, it's just new and cool. Quite a few people recognize them here already anyway.

Although again, a very silly one. Whenever SPG does a cover they intentionally goofball it up.
Probably the best song for showing off The Spine's incredible range though
diamonds is one of their better covers, no doubt
SPG are great
must been hard for rabbit to come up as a trans for the band too.

Why would rabbit's gender matter at all?
They're incredible with their harmonies live. Videos online of their live concerts make the harmonies sound really bad so I was disappointed but when I saw them live their harmonies were incredible, which is really impressive.
Why would rabbit's gender matter at all?
Because it's quite possible that more than a few people would be opposed to the idea of Rabbit as a character switching genders, or even to the idea of transgenderism in general.

But that's SPG in a nutshell.

Astoundingly, the SPG fandom has been incredibly accepting of her, though I'm sure there are some outliers.

Considering their fanbase, I seriously doubt that, and the outpouring of support from said fans was pretty damn immediate.
SPG is pretty good, but I prefer their original songs over their covers:

I love the harmonies on the start of the chorus
Some of their songs work really well, and even keep up a silly, whimsical feel, like Captain Albert Alexander.
This just felt awkward to me. When going through the main parts ("Work it, make it, do it, makes us," etc), the shifts in octaves really messed with the flow. A few parts, like at 2:04, Rabbit just sounds like she's sliding all over the place.
Anyway, enough bitching. One of my favorites:

I don't know their names, but The Spine(? its the tall fedora guy) has a glorious voice

Ya the silver one
He has a titanium alloy spine

I love Bunny's new getup and Spine is still sexy as everliving fuck I mean come on
2:02 dear GOD that was flat.
Their on-person smoke machine rigs are amazing btw, you can't even tell they're wearing anything and all of a sudden they can fill an entire room with billows of "steam" jetting out the crevices of their clothes

Yeah she's doing this weird inflection on it where it sounds okay by the end of the line but sounds terrible at the start
was so she's the trans one right? i got confused i thought the mustache'd one was trans because of the pitch of their voice
other than that one line that singer does a much better job than the other two (the bass feels out of place and the high pitch of the other one does too), but the instrumentals own
I absolutely love this band, but I feel like some of their recents are a little strained. Maybe it's just me loving "Honeybee" too much. Interesting choice to cover though
Thats pretty creative way of covering a song.
SPG is my life.
my favorite

i play it all the time with a friend
God, the way they move always astounds me. It's so crazy how they make themselves look so unreal.
