It probably doesn't have much to do with The Mummy 2017.

Because it actually looks like it could be good.

But in all seriousness, this looks pretty legit. I enjoyed Axiom Verge, which as far as Contra meets Metroidvania goes is pretty on the money. So if this is similarly Contravania-esque, I might actually pick it up.

After all, I do have a soft spot for Metroidvania games. Axiom Verge, Dust: An Elysian Tail, La-Mulana, Rogue Legacy, I've played a fair amount of those kinds of games and I know what I like. And I like me some good Metroidvania. So let's hope The Mummy Demastered is the good stuff.
