Pretty neat. Reminds me of Scratch, might actually get kids interested into programming as well.

Also reminds me of Klik and Play, software that is older than I am

Or, if you want to get more nintendo, anyone remember warioware DIY back on the DS?

They should had shown this way sooner such as the announcement video.
this shit is so dumb i cannot understand how people think this is innovative
this shit is so dumb i honestly cannot understand how people can think this is good and innovative
noone is going to sit there and play with their pieces of cardboard let's be real here people
It's marketed to children
this shit is so dumb i cannot understand how people think this is innovative
Does it have to be innovative? In my eyes this is kinda innovative since it really encourages kids to figure things out for themselves, I mean i'd fucking love this shit if i were a kid. Being able to combine different "toys" together.
And yeah like said, this is for kids. Perhaps a bit expensive but Nintendo never were the cheapest brand to buy from.

There's a reason physical toy video game tie-ins were phased out like R.O.B and others; Nintendo is just banking on the art department for this one, relying on nostalgia and the kitschy appeal.
It's for kids but what a shitty toy to sell to kids in the first place.

Ironically, the adults are more likely to do shit work this.
Wow this is cool. Reminds me a lot of the Lego Mindstorms kits I played with as a kit. That shit was basically the reason I got into programming.

Dude, I would have LOVED this as a kid. You don't even need to buy the kits, they're just a fun way to get started. I was skeptical of the labo stuff too at first, but this just opens up a ton of possibilities for play and creativity.

I hate to keep beating this dead horse of a response but like, complaining about labo not being the hottest new tech misses the point. Why bother learning to work with a raspberry pi when I can have a $2000 rig to play the latest PC games? Why bother making papercraft stuff when I can just order a 3D print of a model I ripped from a game?
It's a tool for explorative learning and crafting, and is absolutely great for kids to dive into creating stuff. When I was 8-10ish I had lego robotics and by god if there had been a way I could use that shitty programming app to link it up to an n64 I'd have exploded right on the spot
Maybe grob was just lame as a kid

Dude i'd take this over a action man figure any time when i was a kid.
