nothing short of hilarious
"We made a decision back to September not to disclose the shipments of the watch," Mr Cook told investors on Tuesday. "That was not a matter of not being transparent. It was a matter of not giving our competition insight on a product we've worked hard on."
Nobody is buying this. EDIT: Or the watch.
There's this strange vibe of secrecy surrounding this thing. Everything from the keynotes that talk about it at one point or another, and now in the earnings calls too when it's out?
Considering the amount of excuses they make for the sales, it's weird they don't just release the numbers, I mean when you have to both say "it's above $1B" and
"It would not be be an accurate thing to look at the sequential change and assume that was the watch revenue," he said.
You've already narrowed it down a lot. Obviously they sold more than their competitors, so just release the damn numbers already.
