Well for those of you who do not know, Kava Kava is a "harmless" natural substance taken from Kava plant roots. Find out more:

Anyway, I have tried it before. In fact, I still have a large bag left. Unfortunately, I do not recall feeling anything other than a placebo effect on the mental side of things. On a positive note, I did get a physical reaction to it, and I can only describe it as such: Kava is by far the most amazing sleep aid on earth. If you take just enough, you will gradually start feeling very relaxed, followed by very, very sleepy. Eventually, you will feel ready to take an amazingly comfortable nap which seems like it will last forever. I have never before in my life awakened to such a pleasent feeling of rejuvenation and "rechargedness".
Note: most of kava's reported harmful effects have been from misuse, mostly in that people affected used ground up leaves from the plant, rather than the roots. The plant leaves should never be used; the root is pretty much perfectly safe.
Tell us about whether or not you have tried it, your experiences with it, and so forth.
P.S. : Does anyone know whether or not it is safe to use "expired" kava? My bag of ground kava root powder was exposed to air around half a year ago, and left in a randomly fluctuating room in terms of temperature and humidity for that length of time. Can I still use it safely (with no need to be concerned about bacteria or the like?)
I don't know any drug that isn't harmful in some way. I think that forcing yourself into sleep isn't healthy?

seriously, acid more specifically has no known major damages to your body other than dissociation with real life if you abuse it.
it's less adverse than pot for example. pot causes damage to the lungs just like any inhaled drug and is known to damage brain cells, but lsd doesn't.

It is more of a natural herb remedy than your run of the mill "drug". It doesn't usually take effects to any extreme. It is very hard to describe. I really wish I could describe to you the difference between this and other drugs severity's as well as long term effects, but it is something that one is better off looking up on one of the sites I provided. I suggest checking the erowid link as it pretty much sums up all the information (unbiased) that you will find in hundreds of sites combined.

This is debatable. I know a few people who have developed severe neurological problems as a result of acid use. Yes, most of them did it heavily for a period of a year or two, but I also know a few people who did not abuse it and only did it once or twice. One of these people now has strange randomly occuring acid-like trips that were shown not to be of schizophrenic nature, and a few of the other people had developed uncontrollable shaking of the extremities.
This is not to say that I don't believe you, because I do believe this to an extent- and that extent is specifically the boundary between "responsible use" and abuse. The catch: with a drug like acid, the potential of uncontrollable abuse is fairly high.

"...patients with liver problems took bad kava .Tests showed it had the bark of the plant in the root mix sold by idiotic* european companies. Otherwise kava root is among the most benign herbs on planet earth and has been cultivated and taken for 2 thousand years."

Acid stores in the liver, and never exits the body, and when taken in enough doses, over enough time, can release periodically, causing permanent hallucinations. Saying that LSD doesn't cause brain damage would be slightly ignorant, considering the fact that stress, anxiety, and things of the sort do kill brain cells, and acid definitely is known to make people anxious or stressed throughout the trip, no matter how good it is.
Almost everything in life kills brain cells, too much water can kill them for fucks sake. Crazy, right?
