I'm sure some of you remember this. It's still a bit jello-y, but the team behind this is really doing a good job.
Excellent, I've been wanting to see more from beamNG!
it looks fine, but it seems like they only detected collision with the body of the car. problem is, the doors are heavy enough that technically they'd have an impact on the spin/damage of the car. probably not so much with the hood, but definitely with the doors.
otherwise though it loooks pretty decent. very jello though.
Just as a comparison:

Actually looks really fluid and pretty cool.
I can't wait until he releases this in some form or another (RoR2?). My only concern is how well this would run on the average rig.

There's probably going to be some demo of it and he's going to sell licences of it to companies.
Hopefully GTAV has these kind of car physics. I doubt it though. Looks pretty nice!
It's like a more refined Rigs of Rods...which is good.
could use some more friction but still beatiful
So this is what would've happened to me if my friend hadn't made that sharp turn on the cliffside....

Actually, I'm fairly certain they are just going to release it as an indie game.
The car lacks a weighty feel, but this is pretty damn impressive.
Thank god I have RoR installed.
Before anyone complains about a lack of friction - the cliff/hillside depicted in the video is a LOT steeper than it looks - at least 60 degrees. That and the lack of rocky obstructions makes the cars carry a lot more speed than you'd think they would.

Throw in Oculus Rift support and you have a nation of constant vomiting.

I think the problem is the angle in this video that makes it look 'off' - i've been to a number of crash tests at the Transport Research Laboratory and BeamNG gets very close to reality in some of these videos. It's not completely perfect, but I can't figure out why.
Fond memories of Just Cause 2 come to mind
