wtf, that's awful. hope he manages to get to keep it
Sounds like straight bullshit. Someone in corporate saw that they threw their car away and probably got super pissed that it was sitting in some junkyard.
I'm guessing the marketing firm got in trouble with Dominos for not removing the stickers when they sold the car. After he bought this car and made a video about it he bought a second DXP car but most of the logos were removed from that one. He owns the car title outright so I don't see how they'd be able to force him to sell them back to them.
The general consensus seems to be that legally they have no ground to stand on if he removes the logos, especially since he owns the car outright and it wasn't stolen from Dominos. However, Dominos knows that and they just want to try to get him to do what they want by threatening to take him into a huge legal battle, even though they will lose if he actually fights them on it. Pretty scummy honestly.
I can see them not wanting him driving around a vehicle with their branding on it but he's not even doing anything harmful with it, and he owns the title so they can't force him to sell his property

"It's just business" Wow, dickbags.
It's so easy and cheap to get some good PR, but it seems like they want the car for... reasons? And just want to dig a hole for themselves. I know I won't order Domino's anymore, especially if these are the types of people they associate with.

This is a Little Caesar's household now.
The problem with companies is their PR team and their legal team are often two totally different worlds. When you have an extreme rift, like a chill-ass PR team and a stick-up-your-ass legal team, you get a higher chance of bullshit like this happening and making fools of a company. Hope this case is dropped. Absolutely not this guy's fault.
I stopped ordering dominos due to their quality decline and overpriced food a while ago well before this and this won't make me change my mind back. Fuckers wanted to charge us over $30 delivery for 2 pizzas, one cheese, and one meat supreme.
I stopped going when I ordered a pan pizza, the cheese was burned on the top and the dough in the middle was still uncooked. It wasn't just spots here and there, it looked like they just took some dough and used a blow torch to burn the cheese on top. I took a bite out of it and immediately spat it out. Started to pull each piece apart to see what had happened, entire fucking pizza was still raw. I just stick with two local pizza places now, both are legit brick ovens and fresh made. Worth the price and drive for me.
They can't legally make him sell them the car can they?
