Can anyone please help me on making a ragdoll of a GoldSource model?

I've been porting GoldSrc models to Source (specifically Gmod) and when porting them they come out as effects. I would just like some help on how to convert them from effects into fully functioning ragdolls.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, cheers.
What do you mean they come out as effects? What process are you following to port them?
Sorry for the late reply. What I mean is when I compile the model it has no collisions.
My usual process of porting is; I decompile the model, change the .bmps to .vtfs, edit the .qc and then recompile. I try the models out on Garry's Mod and when I spawn them they come out as effects with no collisions.
You can make 1 or decompile any model with physic model & use it on your model
Yeah you need a physmodel rigged to the skeleton.
Assuming they're just regular HL1 models you're ripping why not just take them from HL:Source?
Are you trying to port stuff over from the Half-Life HD Pack?

Ah. I dont know much about porting but I do have some expirience in rigging and weight painting and whatnot.
It's alright, I've tried what you've all suggested and it worked, my ported GoldSrc models will now have ragdolls.
