Some parts of Fox News’ brass seemed to agree with Smith’s assessment of the breakdown between news and opinion-tainment. In Thursday’s Time interview, Fox’s president of news Jay Wallace implied that the network’s main competition was the entertainment industry.
“People may turn on the network and get pissed at whoever’s on, but the storytelling that we have and the way that we break stories down is so important and compelling, they don’t leave,” he said. “And when they do leave, they’re probably going to turn on Netflix.”

I thought the whole point of fox news was that it is an entertainment network so they don't have to bother with facts
Fox News is ironically pretty much the fakest mainstream news in the US right now. Not counting smaller publications, of course.
Fox news shouldn't be allowed to call themselves new. It's blatant false advertising, for the most part.
It's "news"
That's how they get around it, by being entertainment.
