Retirement frees congressional Republicans to give some straight talk

Retirement frees congressional Republicans to give some straight..
Within hours of the release of a Republican report on Russian meddling in the 2016 election, Rep. Thomas J. Rooney (R-Fla.) broke with the party line to suggest President Trump was helped by Russia. He also criticized the partisan rancor of the congressional probe, saying “we have gone off the rails.”
After the Republicans’ humiliating performance in a special election in Pennsylvania, Rep. Charlie Dent (R-Pa.) said his GOP colleagues were foolish to blame the party’s candidate instead of the “very toxic environment” stemming from Trump’s tenure
And Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) bemoaned “my party’s seeming amnesia” in a speech that condemned the way so many Republicans have embraced Trump’s bellicose style and America First agenda.
This past week, even Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.), who led the House investigation into the deadly 2012 attacks in Benghazi, Libya, said Russia was trying to undermine Hillary Clinton’s candidacy. That put him at odds with several of his fellow Republicans.
"The president goes off the rails, you need to call him out," Dent said.
Also:
“I just tried to call them like I see them, and I guess I’m doing it a little more now,” Dent said in an interview.
Just like Trump does, right Trumpers?

I hope they're not expecting anyone to consider them courageous for saying this, considering how that courage was nowhere to be found before these men were set to leave office.
They're only talking now that their taskmasters can't set as much potential retribution upon them. If they really cared, they would've stood up long before now, even if it were in the face of angering the powers they consider their real constituents.
By waiting for retirement to spak up, they just show that they put their carreer over their country.
Why, where you too afraid of being labeled RINOs before retirement?
If you had any real spine you'd have spoken up despite the direction the GOP went, so don't go trying to shut the stable door after the horse is long gone.
Cowardice is waiting until you have nothing to lose before doing the right thing.
It's a fine time to find your spine when you're just waiting out the clock for retirement from office. You all could've been really fucking handy in the summer and winter to help bitchslap the "off the rails" Republicans as they repeatedly tried to rip the ACA apart and then successfully passed a ""comprehensive"" tax cut and tax reform bill that was written behind closed doors, had no public hearings, and was voted on before anyone even had a chance to read more than 10% of it with hand-written marginalia and even entire sections crudely crossed out all over the place. And now that shit's had time to be examined, Republicans are finding all sorts of problems that need to be fixed and they're begging Democrats for their filibuster-breaking votes to help them unfuck a fuckup no Democrat had any hand in making.
also I just want to note I rated the thread clocks not because OP was late, but because IT'S ABOUT FUCKING TIME REPUBLICANS SPAT OUT THE DICK
Why can't people realize how fucking detrimental these politicians are to their health, well-being and finances?
Ever since the sad sack of shit took office, i've felt happy that i'm not living in America but i also feel sorry for what the american people have to endure.
When the leaders of the government retire and say "Yeah, we were fucking you over on purpose, sorry..."
You got a problem...
It is very hard to endure the fact that Trump gets two scoops of ice cream at dinner yet mommy only gives me one.
A much better time to speak up would have been literally any god damn time in the past two years
This just reeks of looking for some brownie points now that it doesn't cost them anything to speak up and I've not a shred of respect for it
Now if only it'd free them to cast their votes sensably instead of rubber stamping Trump and Co.
Literally all talk.
GOP and Repubs need dismantled and put out to pasture, clearly they have no desire to further the prosperity of the country and it's citizens, so they're fucking worthless as potential bodies of government. Just a bunch of old prunes fucking us in the ass.
How about speaking up any time over the last ten+ years?
