Mr. Meaty is just one long, uncomfortable disturbing moment really
Oh god I almost like to believe that show was some kind of fever dream whenever I remember it.
Ah yes Goose Bumps. Scared the shit out of me but I couldn't stop watching it when I was younger.
Ah, yes. That one Powerpuff Girls episode. That scared the living shit out of me as a kid.
I remember as a kid on Nick's website you can sign up to be an employee as Mr. Meaties and I did that. Where's my bloody paycheck?
I remember watching that one Tom & Jerry episode back in the day and not realizing what was actually happening, holy shit.
Oh man that Invader Zim episode was something back in the day.
11 year old me thought it was a funny episode because "haha fat", but damn did it leave quite a print in my head for having such a distinct style/tone and how it shares my name
I thought that The Day the Ed Stood Still was much worse tbh
It's amazing what cartoons got away with in the past. I remember the PPG episode and how unexpected it was. One that freaked me out a bit was with the mime that could suck color from the world. At least that one ends with a pretty cool song.
And Courage, that show was amazing with each episode being so freaky.
Ren & Stimpy really pushed it with what kind of shit a cartoon show could get away with.
Still loved it though.
That "Hey Arnold" one scared me when I was a kid. I remember being up late one night watching a re-run. I was terrified of the dark already but I was trying to get through it by watching TV. And then I saw that shit. WheW
The only thing I remember about Jimmy Neutron that really scared me was the pizza monster.

That fucker gave me nightmares for weeks.
That was one of my favorites vv
Oh it was really good. It even scared the shit out of me when I was younger
The pizza is aggressive
Should have also included Bad, Bad Rubber Piggy for Invader Zim. It was a pretty messed up episode.
Long live Chimp World.

Holy fuck
Dude, I forgot about that PPG episode. I remember that one disturbing me quite a bit.
I always felt the joker-gas transformations from Kids WB's The Batman were a lot more grotesque compared to Batman TAS.
I always thought some of the voices, and the way they tend to over exaggerate ruins these videos, it makes it seem like a cheap video game creepy pasta, and kills the tone of the original content. It's a pretty good list though.
Courage wasn't that scary to me mostly because every episode is kind of the same the shock value just goes away if that's your shtick so the meat of it is just seeing all the crazy shit that happens like with Eustache turning a god damn wrecking ball, I still think PPG hits the mark for the weirdest fucking episodes that's for sure its kinda why I despised the show every time it would show up it was basically the equivalent of Teen Titans Go to me.
Isn't there a regular episode of Ed Edd and Eddy where Ed becomes a monster and hunts down the entire cast, I seem to recall that being a pretty disturbing one
If anything it made me eat pizza more
They dressed him up as a monster as part of some scheme and Ed being Ed goes way overboard.
If I recall correctly the episode ends with his basement room having been transformed into an Aliens-style hive made out of half-chewed cereal, with all the kids stuck to the walls.

In the Netherlands we had something that is still talked about today.
Around the mid-nineties there were not that many children shows for children between 5 and 8 years old until the show Ik Mik Loreland was created which featured a rather terrifying puppet that was actually quickly changed after the massive amount of complains they got after airing the first season.
Elementary schools started to show this show to kids as something to watch while on breaks or when they class deserved it since it was a mix of entertainment and education, however rather quickly kids started to have nightmares of Karbonkel (the creature of the show) and it even got attention in the national news and newspapers.

To explain a bit more about why it was terrifying besides its rather haunting looks was that he was a very aggresive character who could not read or write and wanted the hero of the show to show him how to write but since he had no patience for that stuff he got mad quickly and started to scream at her and threatening that he "would do stuff to her".
Anyway, in season 2 the creature turned into a more human character which made him less spooky.
Never watched it myself as a kid, but I remember my brother and sister being absolutely traumatized by Karbonkel for years.
That random Legend of Zelda booklet(?) though.
I remember the return the slab episode scaring me when I was younger.
Watch as I make an entire generation of children experience ptsd
