The pizza chain promised to give away free lunch combos "if crazy happens" and a 16th seed team beat a 1-seeded team in the NCAA March Madness tournament. On Friday night, exactly that happened when the University of Maryland Baltimore County beat University of Virginia in a shock upset with a final score of 74-54. Now Little Caesar's has pledged to hold up its end of the bargain and will give away free lunch combos, which usually cost $5. The box contains a "deep deep" personal pizza and a 20-ounce Pepsi product of your choice. The offer will only be available on April 2, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and is limited to "one per family" and "while supplies last." Simply being in line during that time will not be enough to claim your free pizza, as the promotion comes to a hard stop at 1 p.m. Still, there are no catches and no purchase is required, making it a genuine food giveaway, which is rare in fast food.

Given how sick it'll make you after eating it, you'll still be paying for it either way.

Little Caesar's isn't that bad, really, at least not the one here. Especially if you get a fresh Italian Cheesy Bread, good lord those are amazing.

They've gone up in quality recently, much like Domino's did.

Their regular 'zas aren't great but I do enjoy those Deep Deep dishes.

I don't know, it used to be a flip of the coin. It was either good or complete dog shit. Feels like its changed in the last few years. Every one I've been to lately has been good. Better than Pizza hut anymore. Motherfuckers don't do the pretzel crust or salami anymore.

Dominoes are the best chain pizza.

Caesars may not be the best high quality pizza, but getting an entire Hot-n-Ready pizza for just 5 bucks is pretty damn good. They're cheap and they taste good.

I don't know why people shit on Little Caesar's. Not only are they one of the cheaper pizza franchises around where I live, their pizzas are just mind-blowingly delicious. Especially their stuffed crust.

Most outlets worship the almighty dollar, so they'll rather chase that than upkeep any semblance of quality, it seems.

Little Caesar's has great pizza if it's actually hot (and ready). 30 minutes after buying it it'll be garbo.

The better time to buy Little Caesar's is when its actually busy, since that's when pizzas actually go through heavy rotation. Your more likely to get one that still has gooey cheese and crazy hot sauce. Honestly that's why their Deep Dish's tend to be a lot better, since you end up having to wait a couple minutes unless its the lunch hour.

Little Ceasers in Canada is pretty decent for the price. Then again where here I live you can also get an 18" Neapolitan style pizza for under twenty so the value is limited.

Little Caesars is only "good" when it's fresh. Reheated Little Caesars is the same as tasting the Devil's asshole.

Microwaved Little Caesars is pretty bleh. Reheated in the oven is significantly better.

Hey, free food is free food. Little Caesar's is far from my favorite pizza place, but hell I'll stick it especially if it's free.

Void outside of the 50 United States and District of Columbia and where prohibited, taxed, or restricted by law. Doesn't look like it is. Little Caesars is alright, but the Domino's here give 50% off to Uni students and deliver to campus buildings, so it gets blown out of the water by that. However, they've seemed to have been saved by a cannabis dispensary opening across the street, and now all of their advertising is facing it.

Yeah i love that deal, i spend 5.90 on Small pizza on Pick up and it's 10/10 it's my lazy day food.

NEVER reheat pizza in a microwave if you ask me, it always makes the crust into a rubbery/soggy mat. Oven is 100% the way to go, even if it's just a little toaster oven. But sometimes, cold is good, too.

Papa John's leftovers taste good cold. Little Caeser's for me has either been pretty good or delicious. The whole reason I go there is for their crazy bread though.
