• Is it possible to have skkins for a bodygroup?

What i'm trying to do is make multiple skins for a pauldron on a star wars model. I'm wondering if it is possible to make skins for the bodygroup to switch between. If so any help would be appreciated!
Yes. Skingroups are handled by material name. Just have the material(s) the bodygroup uses as part of your skingroups and they'll get swapped out accordingly.
do i just put the $texturegroup anywhere in the .qc of the main file or do i put it somewhere specific?
Anywhere in the qc works but just out of habit I put mine after the $cdmaterials path. Should be identical to setting up skingroups as you would for anything else.
When i add it in i see the skin settings in game but the skins wont change. any ideas?
Post your qc as well as the names and locations of all your vmt for this model.
