It is likely this will tie into what is also happening the US.
it would probably be easier to investigate when large scale data collection hasn't been misused, at the rate things have gone.
At least facebook has started taking some responsibility for the content they permit to be shared.
Only reason they're taking responsibility is because they got caught doing fuck-all. It's a classic case of "we're so sorry this happened!", which really translates into "we're so sorry we got caught fucking over people!"
Facebook have a great tendency to apologise after the fact, to apologise after people's data has been compromised.
these huge companies have no interest in privacy, their interest is purely monetary and they don't give a shit where that money comes from
Zuckerberg and everyone from Facebook involved in letting this gross mass sale of people's private information should be arrested if they ever step into the EU again.
